I would just like to add that my ancestors are all Lancashire and Scots, so I’m not being a typical southron anti-north racist. I hope I didn’t give that impression! Also Yorkshire is nice, I have rellies there too :p
On the contrary, the joke warranted a Yorkshireman's highest praise, "It's all reet"

(note to @fallenmystic a Yorkshire man never gets very excited. He said "It is all right [OK]" in a Tyke (Yorkshire) accent)

(2nd note to @fallenmystic , a common Tyke phrase is "If thee does owt for nowt, do it for thissen" (If you do anything for no payment, do it for yourself) so further teachings will cost you many 'loves')

How can you tell that an Englishman is from Yorkshire? Don't worry: he'll mention it in the first five minutes of conversation.

Normally a perm from a hairdresser is the common expression for a permanent wave, chemically set into the hair, so a routine hairdressing service.

perm= Geordie (native of Newcastle-upon-Tyne) pronunciation of poem

Aye, pet, all reet: = Yes, sir, OK

Ah wandered loonley as a clood...” Geordie pronunciation of I wandered lonely as a cloud a classic poem learnt in most schools https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/I_Wandered_Lonely_as_a_Cloud

Further Geordie lessons:

What's Urdu? What you get at the urdresser's.

Hm, there will probably be no answers to the last question here from Germans because they only see this picture when clicking on the last video which I haven't seen for some time in Germany:

"This video contains material from BBC stations and is not available in your country because of copyright restrictions!"

I could see it by virtually transferring my location to London or Edinburgh but I'll have to go to work now for my nightshift and if you find the video in another state, please tell me.
I will see it only on Tuesday because I will not have time until then to change my computer's identification numbers and location adjustments.
Stay safe and healthy until then! ;)

Even some Brits have trouble with it:
A decent plot summary on Wiki

"Don't mention the war!”

BBC videos in any form are probably no longer accessible outwith the UK, that certainly applies to i-player and they've probably clamped down on YouTube etc. too. So it's not just that (very funny) episode of Fawlty Towers.

They play fine in the US

I might be dropping out for a while, I had an accident:

Hold my emails until further notice,
as I am in hospital. I was badly attacked
by a woman in an elevator.
A witness got her photo.

I was in the elevator when she got in.
I was casually staring at her boobs when she said,
"Would you please press 1."

So I did ... and I don't remember much afterwards.

May be out of the hospital in a few days.
