Nice, to receive your feedback, @fallenmystic . We should first clarify, about we write.
E-Books (.mobi for Kindles, and .epub for other reader devices, both formats in the libary) are very flexible for presentation.
The user can choose and changing:
-fonts,
-row space,
-text alignment,
in the preferences menus of devices. A few examples (sorry in German Language on my devices).
2020-0327-064620.jpgTolino left, Kindle right main menus
2020-0327-064636.jpg the same text menu
2020-0327-064648.jpg kindle with submenu 1
2020-0327-064704.jpg kindle with submenu 2.
It's possible to choose personal preferences on devices and reader apps too.

Sorry I didn't clarify my suggestion clearly. I think I shouldn't have written 'e-books' when I intended to mean just PDF documents.

And now I noticed that all of the books in the library are indeed in a proper e-book format which allows such customizations, while the stories that I've downloaded from the archive are in PDF.

In that case, what I should have suggested is to increase the line height (and probably also decrease the font size a bit) of the PDF versions of the stories in the archive section, rather than e-books which are already customizable as you justly pointed out.

P.S.: And thanks for moving my thread to the proper place :)

Ah! Hmmm, difficult to decide. I choose this format, font, alignment and rowspace for little devices, especially smartphones, the most used devices.
Smaller fonts and more space probably better for tablets or desktop-pcs but not for little screens. Before I change the preferences for pdf-production, we should ask all members for opinions.

I definitely agree. And that was why I wanted to make it a public post :)

To other members: I have made a suggestion which, I believe, could improve the readability of the PDF versions of our stories in the archive section.

You can see a comparison image from my original post or from below:

So, I'd like ask you to provide an opinion, in case you are interested of the matter. Thanks!

I like the new spacing in height. but also like the older bigger font.
Combine the 2 and makes for better dyslexic reading comfort :)

I definitely agree. The sample I made was based on LaTex rules for Korean texts, so I also think it would look better with a bit bigger font size (maybe something between the two would be perfect). On the other hand, I like the line spacing of the new version as it is. So I'd be happy if only line spacing could be adjusted like that.

Here a version with different font:

I checked it both on my desktop and iPad I think the new version feels much easier to read. Here's the comparison shot (the right is the new one):

I wonder how it would look like with the line height just one or two pixel taller, but I'm already happy with the result as it is.

Thanks much for taking your time to listen to my suggestion! :)

Origin in All

The sky looked angry today
Like it had something to say,
"You can't see that which you seek
Though it can be known to the meek."

Of patient heart take a step back
To allow a fawn to cross one's path
In the days that bloom decay
Sinister rouge, burn orange and black

Strengthen the body so it may endure
Pleasures and tortures for seasons more
Humble your mind knowing the whole
Legion of imagined ones listen

Though they hold at the door.

Forever renew the original urge:

One in two even
At sixes and sevens
Sixty four hexagrams
In sin the absence of three are
Sixty four letters sent to thee.

Do these in the presence of me
And hold thy steed
My flower, petal, walking seed,
First to last man on mother earth:

Understand what it is to be a vessel,
Gifted origin of spirt.

Clairaudience without conjecture,
Gifted origin of material.

Clairvoyance without pressure,
Gifted origin of the pentacle.

Hi writers

I`m planning to write the 2773th anniversary of existence of the eternal empire of Rome, celebrated by the reenactment of the crucifixion of the 6000 prisoners of the Spartacus rebellion along Via Appia.

However the Roman Empire now a modern democratic confederation, called also European Union, the constitution contains this celebration, when every province has to send it`s finest ladies to participate and being on the cross for the whole day.

Ladies are brought to the capital by luxury bus. They participates on trainings that prepare them to the challanges of ceremony, moreover press conferences and interviews.

Event is very popular. There is an unofficial contest on youtube among vloggers. They pick a nation and book it. They make pictures on press events, they may ask questions. Finally they try to find as many as they can on the crosses from their chosen nation:French, German, Bulgarian, etc. Who finds the most, is the winner. They post the videos from the arrival of the girls to the findings on via Appia, where they also can talk to the girls, trying to make interviews.

*****************************************************

This is the story. I would appreciate participant writers who writes shorts or sequence of shorts from different point of views:

-a lady who is chosen and sent to the capital
-a vlogger who walks along the road on the festival and based on his photos made on press conferences and interviews tries to find the girls from his chosen nation, films her and maybe asks questions.
-any else

shorts can be as long as you want, from a single feeling to a whole story of a participant of the event

The crosses are of wood, ropes are used to fix. There is a horizontal, quite big footrest, so they just have to stand still, without any possibility of movement. This is the only way they can do it for the whole day. We focus on the exposement, celebrating the beauty of the female body and soul.

I hope you will like this challange

Sounds like fun. I will have to think about it. In the meantime I hope you do more to set the scene.
Yes, this could be fun. So, we can write about any part of the event? From a single person's perspective or a group perspective? Spectator or participant? Medical support staff? This could be a riot if we can get a bunch of the core writers involved.

what do you mean riot?

You have nice ideas, should be put in action. How would you use groups? Based on nationality or a location? It must be different, or the youtube contest would not be fun, if every ladies from the same countries are together. Vloggers should walk kilometers and compare their photos of clothed girls and the naked ones on the cross. Probably the more the day passes, the more difficult it will be.

Yes, based on your questions and commands, mylady

I think we should make a post for this not to flood the lounge. We can throw the scenes and chapters together with discussion, and at the end I order them in timeline.

I remembered that something like this has been done, in Hunger games, it can be inspirative

Hey all! I'd love to get some feedback and thoughts on my story over here - https://www.cruxforums.com/xf/threa...n-packaging-ponygirls-body-mods-slavery.9197/

The summary of this story is that two girls get shipped off to an extreme BDSM prison to undergo torment for the rest of their lives. This will involve being pierced, given large hyper lactating breasts, trained without mercy as ponygirls, milked, branded, fucked and forced to perform lesbian shows on the dark web, gut busting enemas and other tortures and punishment's. It is a culmination and inspired by other BDSM stories and art I have consumed over many years of internet.

For those that want to read it in a not forum format I am updating the edited version in a google document here

This is a roleplay I am doing with an online partner, so the way it has been written is back and forth with two participants. This edited version is me blending together our responses where I think they fit but if something doesn't seem to work I would love someone to let me know so I can correct it.

Hi everyone,

This is my first post here. I'm a friend of Wulf's :) He recommended this place as a great community of writers who focus primarily on great torture stories. I would love to have some writing partners to create some torture stories with. I have plenty of ideas, and while I can be as vague or as specific as my partners desire, I still don't feel like I've really been able to dip my toes into this genre enough to write on my own. If anyone is interested in working on something with me, please feel free to PM me! I can give a list of torture methods I enjoy both reading and writing. I'm also not particular about the gender of my victims or torturers; I'm "equal opportunity" as Wulf told me :D I'm also not particular about settings and plot. I'm happy to work with my partners on crafting the plots together, or I can present a detailed plot that we can both work on. I'll leave it up to the partners to choose their preference on that.

I'm happy to work on a quick scene with someone to get feet wet.

I'm also writing a novel which involves torture, but is intended for a mainstream, non-erotic, non-BDSM audience. The main character is kidnapped and tortured, and this is revealed through flashbacks and secondhand conversations. The novel is meant to portray a character dealing with PTSD as a result of his torture. I have written my first torture scene but have a bit to edit there before I show it off. But when I do, I would love some feedback on it, if anyone's interested.

So yeah, I look forward to hearing from some fellow writers and I hope it is ok to post this here... apologies if I was wrong in that. Hopefully a mod can move it to an appropriate location if this turns out to be the case.

I look forward to hearing from people!
Anya
