He had a blood clot on the brain a fortnight or so ago, that was apparently successfully removed, but his death was probably a related incident. While his drugs and alcohol problems won't have done any good, there was talk on the BBC this evening about footballers suffering brain damage from heading the ball - and eventually developing dementia.

Of maybe it was the hand of God!

He didn't get a blood clot on his hand?

I knew nothing of soccer at that time, but I remember going into the centre of Sydney and seeing Argentinians parading round the streets in celebration of the World Cup win. Thing is, until then I had no idea that Sydney had an Argentinian community. They must have all been out on the street that day :)

Dave Prowse, who played Darth Vader (but not the voice - that was James Earl Jones, as the studio decided that it wouldn't be great to have the dark lord of the galaxy with a west-country accent. "I foind yourr lack of faith disturrrbing, oooh arrrrr" :) ), has died at the age of 85. British people (well, old ones anyway) will remember him as the Green Cross Code Man in the 1970s.

I wasn't born but I heard that he was a modern president who wanted to "dust" the French society ...
He did the majority ( for voting) at 18th , he supported Simone Weil for the contraception/abortion law, he was for Europe and tried to built it more and more ....
Well, it seems that he was a great President ... :clapping:... alas often misunderstood !
