Probably the most discussed and well-known is the portrayal of Scots wearing kilts
A linkie of the clan Messaline can be identified by the dirk carried in the top of her hose. Warrior linkies are quite rare and they can be potentially dangerous.
This one presents a beguiling look, which should be heeded as a warning, since she is about to draw her weapon. :D

We have the decorations out at Cruxton this year

Merry Christmas everyone!
That’s the spirit!
Merry Christmas from on High at Cruxton!
Messa likes the snow, the firs and the Christmass'ornementations ...

Begging your pardon, Milord - Lily says she's finished hanging out the washing, and she would like to know if she can please come back indoors now...?

... and she also says she would like to wish everybody a very Happy Christmas! :D

All we linkies have warrior blood in us, but the Laws of the Hunt forbid us from carrying arms or wearing anything except our kilties!
So Messaline's brogan, osan agus sgian dubh are sure to get her locked in the jougs for a whipping when she's been caught!
I love the clan MacMessa tartan, in the colours of Scotland's saltire flag.

I always wish to wear a kilt !
We always say we wear the kilt, never 'a' kilt.

You know well that Scotland'people and France'people are almost cousins and that we thanked you for voting remain !
I like this expression : ... the clan MacMessa tartan, ...

Oh,sorry ! I didn't know !

One must always watch out when dealing with Scottish syntax and spelling. I got into some trouble earlier for spelling "whisky" and "Laphroaig" the wrong way.:facepalm::D

I present to you my beautiful new work "A Girl Crucified on a Sparkling Garland on a Christmas Tree". Girl crucified for the show, she's an actress. I took the photo in 12/27/2020. If you don't like this photo and don't like my art style, please write critical comments.

"Crucifixion of Alice (and friends)"
Crucifixion1-JollyDore-2d.jpg

Originally posted in the "Alice Kiss" thread, Wragg kindly suggested that this image could be placed here as well.

This manip required some heavy duty remodelling of the original background from a Gustav Dore woodcut print, "Crucifixion of Jesus". Models are Alice, Slava, and Hayden Winters. The background has approximately 24 levels (ultimately merged) to remove existing figures and rebuild image elements like the crosses and clouds, as well as some elements of clothing for the mass of soldiery that seems to have been necessary for dealing with 3 girls. I played around with the idea of leaving the girls in colour, but that created some odd perspective effects that I didn't particularly like. The black and white treatment blends them into the image better, I feel.

Since childhood I have been fascinated by the Pillar of the Scourging... the Stake of Torture... the Pillory of Shame...
Depending on the Christian tale of woe that pillar is closely linked to crucifixion for me.

Enjoy the Destruction of Beauty!

An instant classic, Arcimboldo! This is a textbook illustration of the "Arcimboldo techniques" that I wish I had picked up a little back in the days. The ghastly marks of horrendous torture you leave on your victims are the most realistic-looking I have ever seen. If you have seen any of my manipulations you'll probably think that the pretty babes in them look a little too "pristine" for the situation they find themselves in. Well, part of that, I admit, comes from the hesitation to pursue the modification/enhancement/destruction of their physical beauty, but most of it is simply, as I said in the earlier post, that I have no idea how on earth you do this.

As I'm doing retouching , i used to beautify ungly things in to beautiful one. But I learns a lot from you by seeing this, you are really good in photoshop .. I vow you :)

A work requested by Piraland to go with his crucifixion of Rias:

"An unthinkable and relatively magical thing happens!

Multicolored birds arrive and come to rest on the cross and the shoulders of Rias while squirrels from nowhere climb the cross and modestly cover the entire body of the crucified.

It is therefore in the company of her best friends that Rias will live her last days, her faithful and loving friends, much more honest and sympathetic than most men."

While an odd request I enjoyed doing it. Background and basic cross by Bob, the rest by me
