It really depends on whether that is measured in straight diameter or in circumference. ;)
even the diameter would be about 130mm (if I've got my sums right, which would be a surprise) - still pretty impressive!

You think you're bad at sums? I can't do the multiplication/division to manage the conversion between cm and mm so I had underestimated the width by a factor of about 10. I used to be good at math, I think.:confused::oops::D

The cmnf/cfnf waitresses are an obvious choice for attaching collars and manacles to. I didn't mind when I was picking the picutre, but now the woman pulling the face in the forground kind of annoys me.
I just rotated/scaled the manacles to fit her limbs, without transforming/distorting them to match the direction. Although obviously not perfect, I still think it looks okay with the limited resources. What do you think?
Also, I had difficutlies collaring her, because of how close her hair is to her neck. I just cut the collar around her hair, so that it appears underneath it. I don't think it is accurate, but it still looks okay.
Since there is also a clothed woman working at the bar, I assume that it is a family run establisment. I guess she and her husband own the bar, and the girl pouring the drink is their slavegirl.

You could crop the left-hand side away completely and have a nicely composed image of the bar-slave, with the gentleman just entering through the door behind her. A tall, narrow picture, but I think it would work well.

Yes, that would have been a good idea. I will make that change now.

I thought that something was obviously missing from this picture. Collars are not enough to properly control them.
I used a single image of a chain, which I scaled and skewed so that it will connect between the collars. I thought the varying width of the chain would be acceptable, as the chains do that a bit, but I exagerated the chain that is closest to the camera too much, so it looks paper thin. I shaded the chain, but I didn't add a shadow being cast from the chain, as that would take a lot of work, and there is no direct light coming from that direction.
Also, I thought the image of the chain would be okay, but maybe it looks a bit too cartooney.

Damn! You can see how unhappy I am (4th from right) about the addition of the chain ... just when I was hoping to make a break for freedom,

The figure appears to have 3D origins, consistent with Mermaidhunter's style, but the features are recognisably your own. The ground level viewpoint is unusual, with the arena background presented in a choice of high and low aspects. I think a position somewhere between the two would appear natural, although the high aspect provides the view of the bloodthirsty audience as a visually dramatic component! The close-cropped, horizontal composition is very powerful. Nice work, Barb and MH! :)

I don't have a problem with the chain. A bit of contrast adjustment there could blend that in with the rest of the picture. You could try cutting out the glaring white sky and replacing it with a more interesting background. Have to be a bit careful there since the girls are all standing in pretty harsh sunlight to begin with, but I expect something would work. It's a good image to work with.

If is possible to have multiple banners? This one gets my vote, I'd love to mix the look of the site up a bit. But also, if we could have a different banner for every refresh, I'd totally give it a shot!

I feel like I have to comment on this. It’s phenomenally good. The foreground character is a phenomenally rendered woman, with beautiful subtle ruddy undertones in her skin, especially around her hands, the focal point of the scene. The way this so seemlessly blends (what I can only presume to be cg, painting, and photography) it’s mediums into a single cohesive render is fucking breathtaking. Frankly it’s inspired. The only things I’d change; have the hair suit gravity a little more, and have the nail be reflecting light just a bit more, to bring the focus towards it even more sharply. This piece is damn close to perfection though. Her expression is pained, but shows shock and suprise as well, she’s been resting on that cross for a bit. Great work @mermaidhunter

I added ambiant shadows to the chains. They are suibtle, as they are not in direct sunlight. I wanted to use Gimp's Cage Distort tool to warp the shadows around their body, but I find it very hard to use. Instead, I just used the scale tool. The shadow and the chain converges where it connects to the collar, and becuase the proportions are scaled different, they offset slightly when they move away from the collar. Doing this, I couldn't make the shadows react against the curvitures of their bodies, but I offset it differently for every 'surface' that has a distinct cut off, where their breasts overlap with their torsos, and between their torso's and arms. I also used feather edges, to have the shadow's fade out at parts. I also changed the shading on the chain a bit.
I ws going to upload this, but then I saw @Jollyrei's suggestion to work on the contrast of the chain, so I decreased the contrast in the darker segments of the chain. I cut and pasted the lighter and darker segments into the different layers, so it is easier for me to make changes to either segments independantly just by selecting that layer. Then I also decided to vary the blur on parts of the shadow, based on distance from chain, which I wasn't going to do initially. I used feathered edges, so that there can be a smooth transition from the sharper parts and the blurred parts
Although I used an illustrated chain, I thought it would blend in more I shade it to match the ligthing, but it still looks a bit to cartoony.
I think the chain gets way too flat and two dimensional as it comes into the forground, especially between #1 and #2 and between #2 and #3. I scaled a two dimensional image of a chain to fit, how do other Cruxforums users apply chains in manips.
