We have lots of them in Florida. When I feed the neighborhood cats at night, I stay on the back porch to scare off any raccoons that show up. I like raccoons, they're very intelligent and I don't think they would hurt the cats, but they can eat anything and I'm not going to pay to feed them.

Squirrels striving for air superiority in the tree tops!And here you see a giant squirrel. Body 50 cm, tail also 50 cm. It weighs around 2 kg (4.4 lb) and can jump up to 6 m, almost like flying.
