Michael K. Williams im Juni dieses Jahres: Der Star aus The Wire sprach offen über seine Drogensucht.
Sadness and dismay over the death of Michael K. Williams: The 54-year-old star of the series "The Wire" was found dead in his apartment in New York on September 6th. The police have not yet provided any information on the cause of death. The "New York Post" reports, citing investigators, that Williams died as a result of a drug overdose. Williams had spoken openly in the media about his drug addiction in the past and said that he had spent a large part of his income from the HBO hit series "The Wire" on drugs. Williams became internationally known for his role in it as the gay robbery killer Omar Little. The series' five seasons about drug gang rivalries in the US city of Baltimore ran from 2002 to 2008.

Maria Mendiola, one half of Spanish disco duo Baccara, has died at the age of 69; :(

Oh no! 69 is not an age for dying as one of my teachers said in school. Only 5 years before 1977, I still was in a cowboy costume in German carnival and I remembered that carnival when I heard this song from Baccara which I even loved more in the Spanish version with both in Mexican costumes but I found no good Spanish version on YouTube, so I take this from German TV for my memories of my good old "cowboy days":

"Yes, Sir I can Boogie!" Memories of the long gone summer of 1977.:(
Then many sexy singers where around, even the princess of Monaco and a lot of nip slips. The two Spanish ladies were not so attractive for me, because they remembered me of my aunt, but I could see that they might be very attractive for a lot of males and females and I am sad she died so early and she is thanked for "yes sir....".

I'm sad to report that Patti Hammond has died. I suspect few here know her, but she was one of the lovely ladies in the sexy dance troupe Legs & Co., which appeared on Great Britain's Top of the Pops show each week from the mid 1970s to the early 80's.

I've watched hours and hours of their performances (on youtube). Patti's dancing often stood out from the other five gals, expressing a raw sexuality that burned up the screen. She was just the sort of woman I imagine myself being in some of my most cherished fantasies.

Keep on dancing, Patti.

Legs & co! Love the name - it surely wouldn't be allowed (nor would their dancing be) by the guardians of public morality in these puritanical times. Lots of lively legs in this tribute

Canadian born actor, writer, comedian Norm Macdonald has died at the age of 61 after a 9 year battle with cancer that he kept hidden form the public and even most of his friends.
