Can anyone tell Pp whether it is possible to post images from an iPad? Pp travels extensive with a company laptop and is quite sure that he does not want the IT trolls in Mumbai and Shanghai gazing over his shoulder.
He always carries a personal iPad so his peccadilos go unnoticed but he has not yet found a way to post images using that device.
I think thats a task for @Apostate .

Whoa. I've been posting pics from an iPad since I got back on in 2017. Primus has had 6 years to figure it out.

Saved pics of any kind go to Photos. When you click on "Attach files," select that. Simplicity itself, and Primus certainly got the trick of it long ago.

Hi all,
I've got problems to upload some pictures with a thumbnail. Normally this goes well, but maybe one on ten gives problems. These pictures are not big and I can't find any other problem with them. I attach one of these pictures. Has anyone an idea how to solve this?

The dimensions are to big for the forum (5315x3781px). Please reducing in future the resolution. To example the same image with 1600x1138 pixel.

With this dimension are more colors as 8bit possibile.

Let's see if this works.

Seems OK.

OK. Please don't use outside URLS as we cannot edit them easily. Download the pics to your hard drive then begin your new thread. Write some text then upload pic 1 and click on the thumbnail option. Move your cursor to below the pic and write some more. Upload pic 2 and again click on the thumbnail option, move cursor e.t.c.
I have a question about this. I tried uploading using the "Insert image" icon and clicked on the thumbnail option, but when I clicked on "Preview" what appeared showed both the thumbnail and the full-size image. Did I do it wrong? Am I supposed to use "Attach files" instead?

The "insert image" option is best used for inserting an image by its URL if you want to display an image hosted on another site. If the image is on your hard drive then "attach files" using the thumbnail is best.

What does it mean if I try to post an image and get "Oops! We ran into some problems."? It's a small image I made in MS Paint. Nothing fancy.
'Oops! We ran into some problems' is often just a transitory internet problem. Did it say what the problem was?

That's weird. It gave me the error, but I guess since I posted anyway, it included the image. Go figure.
Who knows? Glad you've managed to post it! :)

Just tried again on this thread and it did it again.
Members should always thinking on the resolution and image size.
Your image have a resolution of 4284x2863 pixel an 693kB. The few details need not such a high resolution.
Here is the same in 1600x1070 pixel and 154kB. When you view both, I think, you see no difference.
For each MB traffic must be IM pay. 10 views will use 6,9MB(yours) or 1,5MB traffic.
The costs for overusing traffic, are more(55%), as for the using webspace(45%).
