aaah. an overdue contiunation. and I love that it is cruel young females whipping nacked slaves.
Actually what Felicity said about that test match were all mis quotes from well known foot in mouth cricket commentators like Henry Blofeld and Tony Crozier. And now!!

These Mandingo slaves are being herded aboard the Melania bound for New Orleans. Once there the pick of them will most likely be sold to the Hartley House plantation. The journey will be long and the accommodation can hardly be described as luxurious. Not a great deal can be said in favour of the meals either so it will hardly be a relaxing luxury cruise. I suppose that’s why some of the slaves have been held back so that they can receive a parting gift from their captors. Very thoughtful of them.

Joshua Hartley's Birthday. (Hosted externally)

It’s a long time since I had a good look to see what the Hartleys are up to. I found this pic which I think shows Joshua Hartley on the right and freshly arrived from England. He sailed over to celebrate his eighteenth with his cousins on the left. They do seem pleased to see him and ordered their maid to summon her daughters so he could choose a bed warmer. Being a growing lad he chose both.

(I must rummage round these old folders some more.)

coooool. eventually stories of hartley house continue. i like that scene :dressed white women, naked slaves. ultimate power. hmmm - ok - the naked young man should be a slave as well and not a cousin - albeit that has some thrill in it as well

Unless you’ve gone over to “Australian Rules” Flicket, in which case we’ll win, because we’re playing “no rules” Flicket ;). I mean, look who we made Prime Minister!:facepalm:
Jeez, only a man like Boris could in any way make our Scummo Scott Morrison look in any way edifying… He’s currently covering himself in “glory” botching up the relief effort for the floods. People are remembering his woeful response to the fires now, and he’s in real trouble for the upcoming election due in May… expect new complaints about the new bloke thereafter

I prefer to call him “de Pfeffel”, which (like “Boris”) is one of his middle names, but “de Pfeffel” has the advantage of reminding us constantly what a ridiculous upper class twit of the year he is. And now I’m getting side eye from @melissa for going off-topic.. Let’s return to the many delights of Hartley House! :D

Felicity Starkadder is showing a famous painting of herself playing Flicket to her friends.

Oh yes that’s me playing a game on my dad’s lawn. He called it the Oval because it was exactly as it’s name suggests, perfectly round. It was a little rough though and more suitable for growing carrots on. I do remember that match very well. It was the final deciding test we played against the Aussies. They were a funny bunch with a reputation for being awkward and arrogant, probably because they were. They were sat on the boundary supping beer with smug smiles on their faces. I was down to my last three cracks of the whip and I needed to dislodge two tassels to win the match and regain the ashes of great aunt Maud’s knickers. The tension was like a block of cheese. You could have cut it with a knife. I came in from the score board end and delivered a wide! It was a shot that I should have made 99 times out of a 1 000! I pulled myself together and roared in like a supercharged tortoise. The slave screamed and a tassel flew through the air. Last tassel and last crack of the whip. We eyed each other and she jiggled her tits one way then the other. I guessed right and went to her left. An almighty scream and the ashes were back on the mantelpiece.

Is it boring of me to comment again just how much I love this picture? I wish they’d introduce flicket to the Olympics, that’s a sport I’d actually watch!

I could really use two such comely bed warmers at the moment! :enamorado: Might save on heating bills!

How annoyed will @melissa be, if I point out she mis-spelled “birthday” ??? :p
From Urbandictionary:

Bith

Bith is an acronym and it stands for
B= Beautiful
I= Intelligent
T= Trustworthy
H= Helpful

Seems like a good description of all our cruxgirls, to me.

(Creepy, crawly goody-goody)

I don’t know which way round is the original.. but @melissa has very successfully meshwarped it into the perspective of the scene. :thumbsup: I just want to know who the little old lady is in the background on the right:eek:
That "little old lady" on the right looks very much like my great great great aunt "Mad" Mildred. When she was younger she became famous for her Cracko Whip posters. Here she is extolling the virtues of Cracko whips cracko whips2.jpg
