Tialane looks amazing pushing up like that..
Her well lit body against the dark fore ground crowd..

Great! Awesome! So filled with tension as she lays down on her cross to be nailed. Most members (if not all) probably agree that this is the most intense part of the whole crucifixion process. Going from a woman on her feet, able to move freely, to one about to be attached to a cross. Not tied, but attached through her body. She and the cross become o ne thing. Oh god!!!!

This is what gets me excited, this moment. Even if I just stretch myself over a couple pieces of wood on the floor of the garage (or wherever) I get immensely excited as I stretch my arms out and position my feet. There's no one around, of course, but I pretend, acting out being nailed: arching my back, writhing, grunting, moaning, as I imagine the nails piercing me!!!

But this poor girl looks like she'll endure other assaults first. The executioner towering over her has his cock in his hand and stroking. (What? He needs to stroke himself? Isn't her perfect naked body enough to prompt an immediate erection!)
Agree about that moment, and the drama leading up to it.

No no, please !
I completely agree with Madiosi !
I know many people think the same as Bertram... it is not a problem.

I simply have to explain what's involved : a lot of work (and the quality of the result) means higher value .
As an artist, I know that it is ALWAYS a bad idea to undervalue my work ;)

To be clear, in my documentation, you can find stuff not more expensive as 20$/30$ but these are short scenes.
There's even one FREE one.

But recent and longer ones are a lot more expensive, and I completely assume that
Your work is on an extremely high level, I am glad to see you value it!

Art is what you make, no matter the medium. I sketch maps of cities to satisfy my road geekery fetish for freeways.... is it popular? Am I any good? I don’t care, it’s my art. And in this crazy internet age, I’ve actually found people who do the same thing.

I say all one needs for art is inspiration, creativity and a medium - ANY medium.

it doesn’t have to be liked at all, it’s still art.

Anyone who says 3D Manips or others art using computers isn’t art is, imho, a complete moron who probably wouldn’t know art if it smacked them in the face...

ignore or slap down such ignoramouses is my advice. Preferably the later!
Agree 1000%!

Nearly one month since my last submission here!
Time runs fast (specially in summer ;))

Again about my current work, which continues its development (with the help of @Eulalia - a big thanks to her flower3)

My heroine Yula, who was abducted, raped and enslaved in part 01, was frigtened by her raptors with a xcross (and other torture devices):
Yula01Crypt110.jpg

... she was saved by her friend Elriak but has now to face nightmares as she tries to free her sister Tialane:

The story continues on Deviant Art (french language) and on Art Untamed (english language) :)

... but not all moments are nighmares ;)

Yet a great crucifixion'pic !

In first, the victim'thumb is folded to the hand'palm and it's well done because the nail into the wrist induces the breaking of the extensor tendon which maintains this finger ready to be used ...

In second, you're right in showing the blood'marks on the patibulum : the cross, before to be raised , was lying down to the ground and so, the blood was flowing down ...
When it was raised, the blood was effectively flowing along her arms ...

It's through the details that we recognize a true artist !

I agree - I can see in Bartnell's work some of the same problems I encountered with animation. You don't see those unless you know exactly what to look for. There's the way the girl's wrists move on the nails, more than they should; and he gets by the fact that her hair will swing right through her shoulder by making that head-drop happen very fast so you won't see it. None of us is perfect at this stuff.

All of us went through a learning curve to be able to create anything with the software - maybe me more than most, because I started with Poser 2.0 I think, back in 1996. Here's one of my first creations from 1997:

It just doesn't get any worse than that, but the software was a big part of it. No hair for any of the figures, don't think the eyes would move, and in the version prior to this one, the figures didn't have toes. Poser would choke on a scene with more than a few megs, and it crashed all the time. The figures themselves were rendered nude in Poser and I painted on hair, the shorts the guys are wearing, the cross, those nails, then composited in the hammer and background pic, all in Photoshop. Today, I never do postwork in Photoshop - my pics are all straight Poser renders with no retouching. Your stuff is GREAT in comparison to where I started.

Poser was famous for crashing right up until maybe the 2010 version, which was pretty stable. Even so, it's always a good idea to get in the habit of saving your work frequently! Crashes for me have been pretty rare in the past few years, but you never know. I suspect that DAZ Studio hasn't gone through enough versions yet to be as stable as Poser. I don't use it, so I can't say for sure.
I have always liked the X cross.

Well, I will say, whether the story says that they deserve their fate or not, I can’t help but appreciate the amount of pain they are enduring or their crosses. And of course they look beautiful, elegant even, in their agony, the one of the left in particular is practically standing the get a full breath, which is simply stunning!
Going through this thread again and re-inspired by Bartnel’s work. When I saw this comment by @mp5stab the word “elegant” jumped out at me. An absolutely perfect word for this body of work- elegant! The women on the cross (mostly ‘Elaine’s”) exhibit an elegant beauty as they struggle. Is it the lines of the body? Is it the lighting and shadows? Is it the pained facial expression’s of the crucified? Likely some combination of all that and more.... Elegant indeed!

Another full month since my last image here... :hollering:

Something that I didn't show recently and that was at the very beginning of this topic, more than 5 years ago:

And now one of my favorite heroines, Wyreen of Torelior, in a situation that will probably never happen in her adventures: carrying her cross before her execution...
But I may show a few more renders, only for crux-forum members ;)
Oh, a beautiful picture depicting everyone's beloved Vairin on her last journey to the place of execution. She was probably exposed as a spy, subjected to harsh interrogation, forced to give the names and location of accomplices. And as the last mockery, they forced her to carry her cross naked. It is really very hard for a young woman to drag a heavy load under the greedy gazes of men who are looking at her naked body.
Of course, such a beautiful woman would look great in the slave market, they would pay a lot for her. But the law is harsh and merciless to spies and runaway slaves. Therefore, her fate will serve as an example for other spies who want to penetrate forbidden secrets.
Vairin has resigned herself to her fate and is only counting down the last steps to the place of execution. She understands what suffering she will face on the cross, when she will suffer from pain in her punctured arms and legs, when every breath will be a real struggle with suffocation. When the cruel sun burns her body, thirst will drive her to ma and she will beg for death. But the mercy of death will not be available to her, as the executioners will make sure that she does not die before the due date. They will give her water and tinctures that will allow her to last longer. her body will be wiped with rags soaked in water to wash off her sweat and salt. The guards will drive away the ravens who want to start their disgusting feast ahead of time.
And Vairin will suffer for a long time on the cross, remembering her life, from a little girl to a mature woman.
Her suffering will be all alone. But the last test for her will be when she sees a big procession. A dozen warriors escorting a naked woman. Vairin is horrified to recognize Trisha in her and realize that the plot has completely failed.
