Classic Whipping Scenes Only

Go to CruxDreams.com
I'm not sure that a lot posted in this thread lately qualify as 'classic' whipping scenes -
perhaps we could get back to genuinely 'classic' examples - from vintage publications, art-works, classic films ..

The classic of them all is J H Meibomius De Flagrorum usu in re Veneraria, 1639,
literally 'of the use of flogging in sexual matters' -
it was translated into English by 'a Physician' (George Sewell), printed and published in 1723
by Edmund Curll, adversary and butt (in more senses than one) of the poet Alexander Pope,
and it remained the most popular 'non fiction' work on erotic flagellation for nearly two centuries.
Curll published other erotic/ pornographic literature, he was a pioneer of the genre in English.
