Collaborator(s) for Roman Story

This would-be writer has some elaborate scenarios in mind, including one with a plot: an intense and escalating struggle as Caesar's favorite tries to save his master from an assassin, at the cost of his own torture and execution.

Period is non-specific, probably post-Antonine. Setting is a ludus where the paranoid emperor has gathered his inner circle under the guise of demonstrating some new spectacle. Scenes will take place in a scaled-down Arena, in a scaled-up imperial box (where the emperor can expect more than a view), and in related locations as needed. Several characters are established, mostly villainous and cruel, mostly male: so far Caesar himself, a wealthy Senator, the Captain of the Praetorian Guard, and the master of the ludus, with other roles to be determined. Also a dozen or more slaves of course, more or less innocent, including Caesar's favorite, who has ridden a cross for his master before and thinks he might escape it again... until he sees the nails.

Despite all the psychological horror, emotional sadism, manipulation, and betrayal, the physical torment will be sustained and graphic. There will be at least two crucifixions (at least one by surprise) and several other gruesome deaths, in addition to sexual violation and mutilation.

This writer has been having too much fun fantasizing about all this to actually write it. If there's any interest in a collaboration in the writing/editing process from this forum, or in establishing a roleplay thread, or even in having updates posted on some recurring basis, it's far likelier that the story will develop. And how delightful it would be if one of the talented artists around here took an interest in creating an image or two!

Please feel free to DM with wicked suggestions or with questions about specific elements that might already be imagined or ruled out (for example, any resulting story or roleplay mustn't conflict with the prohibitions of this forum).

Just getting started, so before plunging into The Full Horror the scene must be set with a prelude, in which one hopes a trainee will make the right decision. There will be a half-dozen deserving or unfortunate slaves riding crosses for most of the day, but there might be only one final dance. Their fates hang on the seductive power of Fortuna.
