I like the first photo better than the second because here you see the blood. It's more realistic when she screams from the cross and you can see the blood which she got before the crucifixtion by the whipping.

Very well drawn experiments. Very good perspective.

Some of the members have speculated that there would be very large and sturdy crosses at any areas reserved for many public executions.

At least there'd be rows of uprights (stipites),
the condemned would have to carry their crossbars (patibula)
to the Place of Execution, maybe the hammer and nails too,
tied to their bodies in anticipation.
