I've always admired the Chassériau one. I think I like the big-eyed look.
The painter was a neoclassicalizing, academicing and orientalizing one, but here his conserving the effort on the Nereids makes the gals appear Art Deco-ish, almost a hundred years avant la lettre. The rightmost, blue-eyed and blue-skirted, looks the part of the refugee from a Lempicka painting.

Yes I think he's been working on dramatic facial expressions!
What always strike me in that one is Andromeda's hairstyle -
the Medusa look? Perhaps she thinks it might scare off the monster,
without needing Perseus!
Looking closely, the monster's already licking his lips -
well whatever salivating monsters do -
the neried in brown is in danger of becoming an hors d'oeuvre -
