Footwear or barefoot?

If there was a Miss Nude contest would you rather have the contestants barefoot or be required to wear footwear, especially high-heeled shoes? My answer would be barefoot. Having footwear on otherwise nude women would be distracting. Also why do beauty pageant contestants, nude or otherwise, wear high-healed shoes in the first place?

Also "Footware" should have been "Footwear" in the title of the thread.

Barefoot! Yeah, I know why they wear high heels, to make their legs and ass more shapely. And that's great for a swimsuit contest, but for a nude woman, nude means nothing, nada, other than skin.

I agree. It's just gotten to be the norm for those kinds of contests - not about swimming, more about a way to show some skin.

Shoes are one thing, but the really disgusting thing is socks! Often we see porn movies with people fucking with socks.... that is the horror!

I think it's because the floors they parade on may have splinters or other hazards and they don't want a lawsuit. Swimsuits, yes, lawsuits, no...

I think Miss America did have at least one pageant where the contestants were barefoot in the swimsuit competition. So it can be done.
 
It surprises me how many women in BDSM images and videos, even when they're otherwise totally naked and tied up for whipping etc., are still wearing (usually quite horrible) shoes. I suppose their Doms have some sort of kink, the shoes must turn them on more than bare feet, but it seems very weird.

I agree with you there. The women wearing shoes when otherwise naked is weird to me.

I can imagine that during a photoshoot in the woods or in the open, footwear could be convenient for the comfort of the model.
Whether it is 'hidious' or not, depends on the tastes.
