some seen elsewhere on this forum, but deserving of a wider audience
I think in cases where you know the source (because it's right here) and want to give them a wider audience,
it helps to refer to the artists ...

Where did #4 come from, Baracus?

It's a holiday here today so let's have some pics. Arcimboldo recently returned to active service among us, and mentioned the venerated artist Cato. Here are some crux and punishment old Cato, some of these go back a quarter of a century

#4 came from Facebook, a movie stars thread.

hmm this was discussed elsewhere recently ... one problem is that the 'additional punishment' means a great feast of crows, and they will remember that and return to your fields. And when there's no meat to feast on, they'll keep up the habit because there might be more soon ... but so long as there isn't they'll still gladly eat your crops too... and you will only have managed to establish your fields as the place for crows to go for good eating. So whatever else you do, don't feed failed slave-scarecrows to the birds you want to deter ...
I didn't actually have any particular punishment in mind, but you're right, we wouldn't want to encourage the crows. Perhaps, feeding the failed scarecrow to the birds, but far away from the crops, is the way to go.
