Like a symphonic masterpiece this becomes more and more exciting; the story is building like a crescendo. My singular suggestion is to have the 4 prisoners doused in salt water. That way they are awakened in screams of agony. As they do not bleed to death their times on the crosses will be prolonged, much to the delight of the governor and sadistically lustful crowd.
