Hypothetical movie making

Go to CruxDreams.com
Any good film needs a thrilling chase, we girls may be runaway slaves, there can be lots of wild action in dramatic landscapes before we're finally caught, rounded up, raped and brought under the whip back to face our punishment. Then there's a long, slow build-up of tension as we're questioned, one by one, under prolonged, agonising torture, long nights of waiting in foul dungeons, frequent abuse and humiliation. And all of that's just the prelude to our scourging, parade of death, nailing onto crosses of various kinds in some conspicuous place, overlooking the highway. The final scenes show many different aspects of the agony of the cross - our stretched, struggling bodies streaming with sweat, close-up details of the cornu and what it does in our bodies, our slow, enforced dancing, our despairing expression, taut with pain, our thirst and the cruel ways we're taunted and what we're forced to drink, the ways we're kept awake and conscious with additional torments, the heat of the day, the biting insects, the circling vultures, the pecking crows, the gasping, twitching bodies, still living, still feeling pain, on the third day ...
Sounds like a rather interesting film - although I might have to look away in some parts!

I also had the idea for a film. But this must necessarily take place in antiquity. I strictly reject violence today and in the current environment.

My plan: A village in the Roman occupied territory, whether in Spain, Gaul, Greece or Palestine. Resistance fighters against the Romans came from the village. Now the village is to be punished. A group of Roman soldiers enters the village. They carry a cart with bars for crosses and two carts with cages in which prisoners can be put.
The Romans arrest the mayor, his wife and his sons and daughters (between 18 and 23 years old) and sentenced them to be crucified.

Some soldiers go into the houses looking for healthy people who can be sold as slaves and take supplies and valuables out of the houses.
Five women and five men are locked in the cages and initially parked in the village square. The screams of raped women and beaten men can be heard from some houses.
In the meantime six stakes have been erected on the village square and the crossbeams placed on the ground in front of it.

All members of the mayor's family are stripped naked and pulled or pushed to the crosses. The women are gripped roughly on the breasts and between the legs by the soldiers. One after the other, the arms of the men and women are tied to the crossbeams, the men are also hammered nails through the wrists. First, the mayor's wife is pulled up by the pole and her feet are tied with ropes. Then the mayor himself follows, whose feet are also tied to the post. The crosses for the two sons have sediles on which they can lean, their legs dangling freely over the floor. The daughters hang completely free with no real means of support and kick around wildly trying to find a hold on unevenness in the wood.
The camera then shows longer shots of the individual crucified, how they squirm and moan, shit and piss on the cross. One of the sons, who hangs between his mother and sister, gets an erection. In between, disturbed villagers watch what is happening.
When it gets dark, the crucified are stabbed with spears.

The houses are set on fire by the soldiers, the surviving villagers flee and the soldiers withdraw.

You could still think of some details more ...
I don't know if you can earn money with it.

no way we can do without it!

also this is an opportunity for the camerawork.
For the first nail, we might see it being placed, but in the moment of it going in, the camera is on the victim's face and shows her reaction!
The next one will get a different perspective....
Probably more exciting than showing several nails going in from the same point of view...

Frogs-View. Camera looks up from the ground beside the crossbar. We can see the outstreched arm and a bit of the hand. The man puts the nail at the wrist (we don´t see that totally, only a little bit). Then he raises the hammer. Camera is moving a bit upwards so we don´t see the arm on the crossbar no longer, just the hammering hand coming down, hearing the Tick-Tick and the cry of the victim...

I suppose I will contribute.

I would set my film in antiquity and cover the story of three young ladies who “bond” over the course of their executions. They are caught up in things outside of their control, end up in the wrong place at the wrong time and are crucified. Over the course of the film they would fight but eventually come to terms with this. We would have a leading lady with an internal monologue voiceover for some parts but mainly keep the film to being unspoken or through dialogue.

The leading lady would be a beautiful petite girl, and the only one to be whipped. The other two must watch. She wouldn’t be whipped terribly but still strongly. Nothing brutal. They then carry their crosses out of the city, into their final hill. The leading lasys cross is a lowercase t shaped about 13 feet tall. She will be laid upon it, roped around the wrists, then nailed in the hands and feet. One of the supporting characters would be tied to the cross with their arms going over and behind the bar, and another hanging like normal but with her feet tied to the side. The leading lady’s loins would be draped in the finest linen. The lady with her arms behind the bar would be loinclothed, but the other naked.
I am not sure how I would shoot and frame it all but that is the story gist. It is simple but I know what I like. Nothing too complicated
This is something I've thought a lot about. Not just the crucifixion, but the rest of the story that leads up to it. Questions like how to shoot it, where to shoot it, and who's willing to be in it. Practically, I've thought about, if I ever got enough internet popularity, how much could I get from a kickstarter campaign to make the movie I want, and how to sell the concept to potential patrons. It will requite a lot of looking into local employment and filming laws and trying to know as many people that are willing to participate as possible.

I really like Spaghetti Westerns, where you hear every sound, every creak of metal and swing of a hinge, and when the actors speak, they only say what's necessary, and we show emotions with close ups of their expressions. Everything is going to be covered in dust, all the girls are going to have dirty faces and mud caked onto their naked bodies, and all the costumes are going to be buried in the ground for 10 days before being dug up and hand washed, so they look worn. Location would be in the Nevada desert, because I assume Nevada has a lot of more relaxed laws about shooting "Pornography", although if I had access to the old hammer sets or wherever Red Feline shot "Malificarum" I'd love to use those. The desert would likely serve for the crucifixion seen, with 4-6 days of set up, and hopefully no more than 2-3 days of shooting. To prevent anyone from getting heatstroke, Most filming will be done before sunrise and after sunset. I think there's a kind of basin somewhere in that desert where you can keep tourist from accidentally wandering over.

Main concern for me. My pop is an Ex-hippie, but he's also a workers comp lawyer. He'd probably be ashamed of me for participating in a production like this, but I think he might disown me if someone got injured during filming. so safety is Key. Cross has got to be sanded splinter free, hopefully can cut a deal for premium French wood, and maybe have it painted to look rougher than it is. Our heroine needs a secure platform for her feet, and she'll need a special failsafe way to release herself from the cross is case of emergencies.

One thing that I'd love to have is an army of extras. You've got to feel our heroines loneliness and isolation, and I think a diverse crowd of onlookers. That might get expensive, and into legal trouble, but it's all theoretical.

Thank you @Boyo boy ! This has been some of the most fun I've had in five months

Anyway we'll have to decide on genre and direction first!

Like we could do a straight up Cruxploitation flick.

Or we could do something that weaves the crux into a plot full of substance and character.

The people who are into the fetish will find it rewarding nevertheless,
people who are turned off by it can just sort of fast forward through those scenes
... but a larger group in the middle will for the first time be confronted with crux-positive storytelling on the screen!

The best 'bang for the buck' in terms of influencing popular culture might be had from a long running serial production,
that will capture viewers with believable settings, relatable characters and engaging plots ...
the musical score, camera work, and dramaturgy will all subtly collude to make the crux scenes emotional highpoints ...
... slowly conditioning the viewership towards a crux-positive mentality ;)

A lot of controversy, media attention and meme-craft will be fueled by 'leaked scenes' or supposedly deleted ones getting released ...
... the kind of accidents that are likely to be deliberate ...
... are they doing it for real, they'll ask ... method acting!?!

... especially when actresses suddenly disappear,
only to come back to media attention some time later, but with an abrupt change of dress style,
that will be much remarked upon by the yellow press...
...when once they presented themselves in revealing outfits,
now it's high necklines, gloves, boots,

as if they had something to hide with regards to their backs, breasts, wrists, and feet
Do they,
is it lash marks and rope burns,
or something more?
They do seem to go back to normal after a while... usually...
How do they get away with it, the producer and director team,
Scandal and controversy!

WOW!!! The competition for this years’s Cruxforums Academy Award is heating up.

Imagine the awards show on Eurovision!

Celebrities like Eul, Wragg, malins, Boy oboy, Jacks, KagaKaman, Bernardus and a host of others, all taking the stage to introduce clips from their films ... and live production numbers with whippings, racking, slave markets, even a crucifixion or two ... going on between entry presentations ... all choreographed under the direction of maestro TheHangingTree, filmed and distributed world-wide by RR Productions.

Personally speaking, I'd abscond with the money and look for a tropical island that doesn't have extradition treaties...
Tropical islands can be dangerous.
They may not have official treaties under international law.
But they may in fact belong to obscure billionaires who have their own plans...
and stand somewhat outside the world of treaties altogether...

... some of them are called tax havens, other are called crux havens ...
but you know, that's not a haven from that practice it's a haven for it!

i agree its really annoying when videos focus on obviously fake nails not doing anything

'Ilsa, the Bloodhound of the Emperor'.

Set in Roman times, with at least a mass scene on the forum, a naval battle with galleys, a land battle with a good cavalry charge, a siege, a chariot race, at least one orgy, and a few juicy arena scenes. Around that concept, we could certainly build a story.

The lead character is charged by the emperor to hunt down political opponents, and their wives. She has an array of torture, whippings, public crucifixions, etc... to deal with them! If one gets shelter somewhere, the whole place is crucified, either on the spot, or along the Via Appia, or in the arena. Like I say, we can certainly build a story around that. It even worked with Caligula, 40 years ago, and they got Malcolm McDowell, Helen Mirren, Peter O'Toole and John Gielgud, to name a few!

Just looking for extras for the crucifixion scenes! Any volunteers?

Fall from Grace (2020)

A film by aspiring young screen writer and director, Barbara Moore.

Set somewhere in the borderlands between Scotland and England during the 1600s, the film follows the introduction of six well-bred young women sent by their families to enter into their new lives as novices in the Sacred Order of Virgin Holiness ... detailing in graphic detail their startlingly erotic induction into the convent ... the daily punishments meted out to discipline them to the unusual ways and rituals of the Order ... the bringing of charges against them, alleging nocturnal liaisons with the Devil himself ... the handing over of the young novices into the hands of an inquisition presided over by an itinerant and much-feared Chief Inquisitor ... the tortures that slowly and cruelly wrest from each of them a formal confession of their sinfulness ... the sham of a trial that follows ... and their public chastisements trailing behind the cart under the lash on the streets of the town and public torture on the scaffolding in the town square, followed by their executions, much to everyone’s surprise ... not by burning or hanging, but by crucifixion!

Filmed in a stark and gritty black and white format, resplendent with elaborate settings and costuming, a full music score and innovative camera angles, the film delves deeply into the horrors and humiliations that befall this sextet of comely and innocent young heroines. It is unabashed about displaying full nudity from the opening scene, which features the six novices stripped naked save for diminutive loincloths displaying the Convent emblem stitched to the fabric and small wooden crosses hanging between their breasts ... shackled at ankles and wrists ... bound together by chains linked to neck collars ... as they are presented to the Grand Inquisitor by the haughty Mother Superior for him to interrogate and prosecute. From there the film flashes back to their prior lives and introduction into the Order, along with the series of events that lead up to the opening scene ... after which the film proceeds methodically and unflinchingly to chronicle, step by step, the rest of their ordeal.

The motion picture is both shocking and captivating, with full attention paid to the varying characters and temperaments of the individual novices, exploring their fears, spirits, intimate interactions and growing sense of shared sisterhood. Full throated and compelling performances by the Mother Superior, Grand Inquisitor, Sisters of the Order ... the brutally thorough torturers ... the concerns and protests of shocked family members ... and the bloodlust and excitement of the teaming crowds of townspeople who turn out to witness the tantalizingly sordid spectacle played out on the streets and town square ... round out the realism and fullness of the film’s depiction of events.

An epic in the making... but also sadly disqualified for this award due to not meeting the basic requirements.

Let’s say you were give a Sizeable sum of Money to make your own Crux movie with. How would you film it? What kind of cross would you use? What sort of actor/actress? Costumes? What would the setting be? Would you have dialogue or no spoken words? How would you shoot it?

(Well, I suppose it wouldn't be Barb if she followed the rules - at least this one doesn't come with a punishment!)
