Forest Crucifixion - Vivian's Crossroad
great pictures.... make her body oiled... on her cross, she will like it and it gives her a nice brilliance, mix of glamour ans sweat. That's part of my fantasy...in every case again: THANKS Great idea, thanks:) I wanted to make sweaty body effect by spilling water on her, but then forgot (also...www.cruxforums.com
Nice, would be interesting.Such lovely white-pink skin...I can't paint for a few weeks but I will try one of these when I can!
about the third model, I think the climax of pain could not be reached in this crucifixion because the slave has her feet put on a piece of wood. So she can not feel her own weight. Why can we not have PM with you ? ...
Concerning the models, I can propose to you some of the photos that I use when I make manips of my crucifixion ...
Here, for example : https://www.cruxforums.com/xf/threads/anjoucalvaries.3014/
If you wish different " shading/lighting, and high contrast in the lighting for practicing dimension. ", I can rework them for your satisfaction ...
an other picture : BEARING THE UNBEARABLE ! Transfigured by her extreme pain on the Cross, she's now more magnificent than ever...about the third model, I think the climax of pain could not be reached in this crucifixion because the slave has her feet put on a piece of wood. According to me, the sole way to get all the pain the crux is able to provide is to have feet tied on the mast, like in Jenia or Alice's agonies. The slave has to suffer, it is consubstantial with the ordeal of the Cross ! Because once the slave is tied in this way, at the pain on arms due to the Earth gravity, moreover it will add the difficulty to breath. Both components are the recipe to watch a slave really tortured on a Cross. Makar knew it and his videos convey this really feeling.....
Frankly, do you think you can achieve such magnificent beauty of suffering like this on the picture of Jenia if the slave didn't have her feet tied on the mast ? Think about the effect of gravity on muscles and the ropes that wound her soft pale skin up to the blood.... And the permanent need to change position to avoid suffocation.....
Watch the photo of Jenia : her pain is so genuine !
Great pictures, but yes, please do post thumbnails.an other picture : BEARING THE UNBEARABLE ! Transfigured by her extreme pain on the Cross, she's now more magnificent than ever...

Looking forward to seeing it.I love the emphasis on the pain expression, Reed319 - do you have any with these grimaces or cries with the crossbeam and breasts in view? I might try for a closer angle.
Thank you all for the positive feedback! I will be able to unpack my paint materials in about a week and will be resuming my attempts at improving then.
Me too!Interesting thread! Very artistically oriented!
I must confess, however, when I first read the thread title, I thought this was what I would see here:

Nice work, interesting version.. thanks. My paints were packed up for a longer time than I'd hoped, but here's my attempt at the last recommendation. The face with the head upturned in the sunlight proved impossible for my skills yet, so I think it has a nice effect with the face left up the imagination.

Thank you for the feedback! I will keep that in mind when I compose the next one.I see indeed a lot of improvements.
The feedback I would like to give you is,
the contrasts in the background seem to overtake the subject itself in importance.
I would ask you to consider adding more shadows and highlights on the figure.
Together with keeping the background more even in contrast,
would make the main subject pop out more as the main thing in the painting.
Feedback is welcome, I'm working on getting better! I'm keeping them safely wrapped to protect them but soon I might hang them in my room - a kinky surprise for visitors lol.I could give some feedback if you’d like. But I’m just enjoying seeing some proper paintings! Where do you store them?
