I must say the fourth image (imp16.jpg) is a favorite.
The girl being lifted onto the stake is so small, the executioner can just hold her up and place her on the stake.
Perhaps she is the little sister or young daughter of the other women on the stakes, or the one being prepared.
The 2 ladies kneeling with their tops on are also very intriguing.

Well two reason. First equal rights, and secondly in principle one can go deeper in the "little hole", as it seems they were able to let the victims survive a rather long time.
