This is from "The Red Queens" by Hugdebert -- a comic book adaptation of the conflict between the Merowingian queens Brunhilda and Fredegund in the Frankish empire of the late sixth century AD. Surprisingly, it's historically reasonably accurate. This panel shows the reaction of Brunhilda when Fredegund sent her daughter to negotiate a peace.

Brunhilda herself was eventually either torn apart by wild horses or dragged to death behind a wild horse (sources vary), as shown here first by Hugdebert and then (barely less luridly) in various historical prints -- a favourite subject of French illustrators over the years:

Hugdebert is a very smart artist. I like his realistic drawings.

It would be great if Master Jucundus could create next pictures in this series showing the victim pulled in the final position allready hanged on her feats and widely spread expecting the cruel death by beeing sawn in half. In mediaval times and also later this extreme death penalty was really carried out ,but it is most likely that only half of the body was cut leaving the poor victim in an extremely painful final agony while bleading out and beeiing disemboweled ! ......Does any ohne know where the artworks of this unique Master are collected now after „Visionsofdarkness“ vanished away ?? Many thanks
 
This is really judicial capital punishment rather than corporal, but I don't think we have an active guillotine/beheading thread so it may fit here as well. These are three images from a Chinese Pixiv artist, showing a women being led to the guillotine in what looks like revolutionary France:

I suspect there is a longer comic with more pages to go with this, but only these three pages are on Pixiv.

Hey, Mr. Wagonmaster! Have a heart. Don’t you think this punishment a bit harsh for driving my team and wagon off the road? It only held up the wagon train for a day getting my wagon and team back on the trail. It’s not like we have to be in Oregon soon or anything!

Yes, Neprakta is known for his humor. Every drawing brings a smile, especially if you read the captions. :)
For example:
