I just about recognise this as my artwork, “Dragged To The Whipping Pillory”:



But somebody has mirror-flipped it and cropped off my signature (along with some nice details..); not cool! No offence to @zdv54 , I’m sure you just found it like this! But this is just rude. I spend a lot of time and effort on my drawings, and I share them for free.. yet someone still decided they should alter it and remove my signature?

Yes I noticed the mirror flip right away too, definitely one of yours, and cropping out the “signature “ margin overlap of her foot and hair-detracts from the piece…

Some of Pichard`s best, I particularly like N0 2, which really epitomises the transformation from courtesan to damsel in distress, with her pride, almost, but not quite, flogged out of her.

another way for public humiliation of criminals was suspending in cages... sometimes till the dead was coming like in gibbeting...
Historical cages are still easy to find out of castles, churches and prisons... variuos sources' pics
