Aunque la mayoría de las brujas son colgadas en la horca pública de Little Brampton, algunas de las esposas, amantes, hijas y novias privilegiadas y de clase real condenadas por brujería son colgadas en el patio privado de la iglesia. Esta había disfrutado los dos primeros días del ahorcamiento público de la semana de la cosecha, pero fíjate en la que dejó atrás.

¡Ella vio la oportunidad de dejar de ser la amante de un anciano y convertirse en la esposa de su amante! Nuevamente, no se registra si la mujer ahorcada en el patio encuentra consuelo al ser ahorcada en la privacidad del patio ante amigos y asociados en lugar de la horca pública. ¡Ciertamente no parece que lo sea!

Should witches be whipped before hanging or not? That is the question being discussed between these housewives of Little Brampton. Some argue that the witches deserve everything they get and serve them right. On the other hand many argue that it spoils the look of the meat put on sale after the hangings. Local butchers support this view and have called for whippings to be restricted to older witches as it does help tenderize the meat.

I'll vote for whipping before. She certainly seems to want her meat tenderized.

Of course they should be whipped! She should be whipped unconscious, and then revived with buckets of cold water. Then, as many townsmen as wish to, should be encouraged to fill her with righteous Christian sperm, to drive out the devil. After that, the townswomen may pelt and smear her with vegetable garbage and animal faeces before she is hanged or burned alive. :love:

Tree took up the 'Brampton challenge' and discovered young healthy witches' meat can easily be tenderized after they are hanged. He did find the spectators truly enjoyed seeing the witch Barbara flogged before her justifiable hanging...
