These guys were likely slaves, guilty of rebellion



and this group were literally The Last of the Pirates.



For years I've wondered if the Romans actually crucified people in this manner, or if this method exclusively exists in twisted 21st century imaginations.

Not that I particularly care.

According to their tituli, the first two are rebels, the second bunch are all pirates. I have a lot of Yusseby/Kriikx pictures, some of them over 20 years old. Maybe it's worthwhile posting them here although I know some of them must have been posted here before.

Strix and Yusseby I lost track of over a decade ago. Jastrow is still around, but no longer as prolific as he was a few years back, especially starting here.

I've got about 35 pics of Yusseby's, quite a few where he credited Kriikx with the pencil drawings, almost all about 2000-2002 and I think none of them since 2004.

She was in my opinion, too. But it turned out to be almost impossible to get that long dark hair posed. It all looks really easy until you try to get it to hang, swing between her and the cross, etc. It's not soft, it's a solid object just like everything else in the scene. It's just painted to look like hair.
