This is so very true, OS. We are so much more fortunate than our parents insofar as the teenagers today don't watch their "rubbish" on the telly, but stream it on their own computers through headphones. So much more civilized. Now it's the teenagers that have to put up with me still playing Led Zeppelin on the stereo in my living room. I get the criticism from below now - "Dad, do we have to listen to this again?"The modern generation don't realise how we oldsters suffered back then.
Having to try to watch Pans People on a blurry black & white TV, with Mum and Dad in the room, and Dad saying "How much longer do you want to watch this rubbish, son?"
I still wonder if this question was his way of deflecting his interest in the girls away from my mother?
