Pleasure In Suffering

Go to CruxDreams.com
In 146 BC, the third Punic war ended with the conquest of Carthage. The approximately 50,000 survivors, mostly women and children, were sold - as usual - in the slave markets; the city was razed to the ground, so much so that in the end only ruins remained. About 2000 men and women were crucified by the Romans, the executions lasted a year.
Jamilla, a very young Carthaginian sold as a slave to a Roman master, witnessed many of those death sentences and her mind was shocked. But she, instead of fearing that torture like hell, was totally fascinated by it to the point of obsessively thinking that she might as well have suffered it.

I too think hell doesn't exist.
Still, it would be great if it were an endless path of pain & pleasure, like some sort of eternal crucifixion and stimulation.
Well, sort of.
