Hello, fellow crucifixers. Years ago, I was a fan of a poser artist by the name of Dendras. At least I'm fairly certain that was their moniker. Anyway, one of the visual stories they told involved a woman, her wrists and neck locked into irons and a wooden board, being impaled on a long spike, then lifted into the air for the whole town to see. It was a celebration for that day, then the world moved on as she "sat" on her sharpened post, left to rot until all that was left were her bones and restraints. Anyone remember this or seen it? I miss the material, along with the other stories created, such as alien facehugger impregnations.

I just noticed some of the people in the crowd are carrying little puppets of impaled women, obviously it’s a sort of impalement festival.. nice idea..
I was intrigued by that element when I saw it. As an adult, knowing the concept of straw dogs, I find it some parts arousing and other parts sad, knowing how disposable some desirable things are.

I assumed they were souvenirs or action figures, but also a bit like football rattles, you could rattle their jointed wooden limbs about to make a clattering noise, to accompany the cheers as the spike is raised up to a vertical position ..

It would certainly add to the festive atmosphere..

Someone should sell little crucified-women-dolls at female crucifixions!
