Messaline has problems. She has plenty of premium French rope to fashion enough premium French nooses for the seven slave women she must hang. There is even a pair of gallows on her property. The problem is one has a single column.
This would allow her to hang only one slave at a time.
It would be effective in putting the slaves to death, but she would have to hang them one at a time. It would take her almost two hours to hang them all and that’s not leaving hanged for an hour after each one chokes to death!
Then there is the other gallows. She can hang two at a time on it.
It would be a more social event especially for the condemned slaves as they share their last moments standing on the gallows.
But there is only seven women to hang so the first or last one would be hanged by herself. This way she can hang them all in just an hour (if she forgoes the hour leaving them hanged once they kick the bucket) but one of them still would have to hang by herself!
Then there is the problem of the gallows themselves. Though sturdy enough to hang the women, they are made from Arkansas pine. Stout enough to hold the women, it would just not be right to hang the slaves using her premium French nooses from ‘cheap’ Arkansas pine gallows. But always thinking, Messaline phones her home country and has enough premium French wood flown to her resort to build a gallows that would hang all seven slaves. She got a discount on the air freight by using an Air France 747 to ship her wood.
Though it was hard work, Bull and Gunner built the gallows. This relieves Messa. No slave will have to be hanged by herself!
So excited is Messaline she brought each slave to see the new gallows. During Kathy’s visit she explains that Kathy won’t have to be hanged alone. “Just think, you won’t have to stand on the gallows by yourself waiting to be hanged!”
“You won’t have to strangle to death by yourself” Messa brags.
Upon viewing Messa’s premium French wood gallows, Kathy seems less impressed by Messaline’s efforts.

I really can't see why. They must all be new to this.
Clearly a new definition of "brilliant" that we were not previously aware of.
Is there a particular way of tying a French noose? Does it have a nice tricolour scarf woven into it, perhaps?
Again, not really a surprise. They don't like surprises in Arkansas, I think.
Tree is really a better hangman than he is a lawyer. He visits Messaline a day before she is going to hang her runaway slaves. Tree, speaking with sage experience, mentions to Messaline that even while less noisy and is generally neater than killing slaves with a firing squad, the end result is still the same. The slaves still end up dead.
Messaline seems more than patient with Tree. She says “But they do that dance when they are hanged!”
Tree acknowledges they do indeed thrash once they are hanged but that is while they are fighting to escape the noose that is strangling them.
He takes a swig of his drink and sighs “Messa, they still end up dead.”
Messa is almost insulted by what Tree said. In a huff she says “They are the ones that ran. The courts have stood behind hanging them so tomorrow they hang. Are you going to be here? I have plenty of you booze.”
Tree grudgingly mumbles he’ll be there. Tree is assuming the slaves will be hanged one at a time from the old gallows.

In the end she is taken quietly to the gallows.

It takes a while to walk from the slaves’ cells to the gallows. It is not known if it was designed that way or an inconvenience for the slaves. But the distance to the gallows was not the only thing the condemned slaves faced. Star Knight is reminded (forcibly) of the guards’ ‘affection’ towards her. As they came to take her to the gallows, there was a last interaction between Star and the guards.
The guards toss her across a table…
…then bind her hands crossed behind her back.
Of course, the slaves must have their hands secured so that they cannot interfere with their noose, but the guards have another reason for tying her hands. First one guard then the other brutally rape Star’s ass.
There is no mercy shown as they forcefully ream her backside. When they are finished they lift Star up and escort her to the gallows. With the guards’ cum oozing from her bottom, Star growls “I hope you enjoyed doing me!”
One guard says “You have a snug little ass. It was still tight even after he fucked it. Maybe it will make you shit while you hanged!”
The slaves act differently once they are on the gallows. Jackie, the first one noosed, looks down at Messa and Judith and yells “Enjoy hanging us, you bitches. I hope you have nightmares forever!”
Judith hollers back “At least we’ll still be able to have them!”
Jackie looks less than pleased with Judith’s answer.
Gillian is brought to her noose. Two women guards pull the noose over her head and tighten the loop around her neck. Gillian whimpers “I think I have to shit!”
One of the women says “You’ll have time to do that while you are hanged.”
Two more slaves are brought to the gallows an have their nooses fixed around their necks.
The blond on the spectators’ left seems resigned to her seemingly excessive fate. The one with the dark hair actually read the fine print of her contact and is cursing that her mistress is really going to put her to death this way!
Next Barbara is brought to the gallows. She had not read her contract’s fine print but as the rebels’ leader she is not surprised that she and the other slaves are about to be hanged to death. She offers no resistance as she is helped onto her stool nor when the thick rope is placed around her neck. She retains a brave face. Her knowledge about hanging tells her the ordeal wouldn’t last more than a quarter hour before she passed. Her gut churned as she contemplated how long that quarter hour will take as she hangs by her neck slowly strangling to death.
Kathy steps onto the stool next to Barb. Kathy groans “They can’t do this to me!”
Barbara bravely says “They can and they will. It will be over quick.”

“Not only is it legal, but we have the court’s blessing to hang you” the guard hisses. “I’m curious how long your neck will stretch when we hang you.”

This might be that moment when the fine print makes no difference.
The seven runaway slaves have been brought to the new gallows Messaline had constructed of premium French wood specifically for their hangings. The crossbeam is 18 feet wide, long enough the slaves can be hung as a group. They might kick each other or knock against the supports at each end, but they should put on a good show for those there to see them hanged.
Barbara stands in the middle of her condemned slave sisters. With her hands bound behind her back and a thick noose dangling more than tight enough around her neck, she waits for the order that will begin her hanging. She looks up at the beam and is sure the beam will support her and the six others hanged with her.
At one end of the row, Star looks to the woman next to her. With almost a laugh in her voice she says “They can’t really hang us. This is a joke, isn’t it?”
The woman shakes her head, moving her noose a bit as it rests on her neck. She dryly says “They are going to hang us, and once they kick the bench from under your feet after a few minutes the only thing coming out of your mouth will be your last drool!”
Messaline walks up the Barbara. She looks at the naked woman standing above her. She shakes her head and asks “Do you still think running away was a good idea?”
Barb answers sharply “You’ve made your point. Go ahead and hang us. I’m sure you will enjoy the show!”

Messa shrugs her shoulders and casually says “Hang them. Let the show begin.”

Jackie closes her eyes, unsure what to expect when he kicks her perch away.
Bull kicks the stool from beneath her feet. Jackie is at first stunned by the terrible pain caused by her body hanging from the noose cinched around her neck. At first her movements are small. Her mind doesn’t comprehend that the rope is all that keeps her above the ground.
Bull knocks the stools from beneath the next two slaves the positions himself behind Barbara. He snears “Your turn, ‘rebel leader’.”
To the crowd’s approval he kicks her stool away. Barb cannot believe the pain her noose inflicts on her neck.
He moves on and hangs the next two slaves. When he gets to Kathy she uselessly struggles to avoid being hanged. Bull jumps up on the stool with Kathy and yells in her ear “Look at your sisters. It’s time you join them!”
He shoves Kathy off her stool as he jumps off.

The seven slaves are hanged. A long drop hanging would have broken their necks and the suffering would have been the lead-up to the trapdoor opening. But Messaline would have none of that for the runaway slaves. Instead the women would experience the short drop hanging, where they would fall less that a foot before their nooses would snatch their necks. It was not a sufficient drop to even tighten the loop around their necks to start to strangle them. It was the weight of their bodies dangling beneath the nooses that would slowly tighten the ropes to choke the women.
For the slaves it is a horrifying ordeal as the loops slowly close and the discomfort of the rope they hang from becomes their fatal concern. One could argue they brought such a terrifying end on themselves. One could also say the Crux Chronicle is videoing an impressive show as the slaves’ struggles become more desperate.
Tree shuffles over by Messaline who is busy smoking a Madame Wu and doing unmentionable things to her pussy with her other hand. She glances at Tree and says “Crux Chronicle is getting their money’s worth.”
“I doubt the women think so” Tree replies. “You could have shot ‘em and they’d be dead now.”
“My firing squad is terrible. I have them aim at the belly. They can’t miss that way. Of course, the slaves slowly bleed to death, so neither way is a quick way to go” Messa says.
One of the security guards walks behind Star as she loses control of her bladder.
Messa huffs “Well, I didn’t expect her to be the first to go!”
“You hanged them. What the hell did you expect?” Tree asks.
Star is only the first of the hanged slaves to die. She thrashed hanged by her neck for almost ten minutes. In the next five minutes several more gave way to the noose strangling them. A loud cheer rang out when Barbara started her final throes before she passed.
The crowd is well aware she was the leader of the seven escapees.
The last of the slaves to die were Jackie and Kathy.
Jackie was the first slave hanged and almost out-lived Kathy.
Kathy’s death came only moments later. She looks quite peaceful hanging by her neck…
