Velasquez's instantly recognizable painting is one of the images largely responsible for fixing the image of Christ in the popular imagination as a mostly naked, vaguely effeminate white guy nailed to a cross.
Yupar's emulation is completely naked. Works for me.
Thanks Yupar.
Lots.
That second picture is flawless!
Alright, I haven't posted anything of note in a long time, so I'll try to fix that now. I don't know where else to put the content of what I'm about to post, so I hope this thread will suffice.
Needless to say, while I'm not a Christian or a Catholic, the sight of a nude female Christ on the cross is eye-catching. So, I'm gonna post the works of the supremely talented
Ramon Martinez, a bright Sweden-based artist whose name ought to be known more, especially in this forum (although his work isn't exclusively about female crucifixion).
To further support his work and have you look him up on google, I'll have you know two things:
1. I will only post 5 pictures from each of his Female Christ set.
2. If you like your nailed ladies with a cloth on, this ain't for you, in all likelihood. I like 'em smooth and visible.
Without further ado, here goes the first batch:
As you can see, the lovely and curvaceous lady was kissed the whip plenty of times before she went up to bare those proud breasts and proud everything of hers till her dying second.
And for her second batch, her equally attractive neighbor:
This one has plenty of fight left in her, yes? There is not even a hint of pain across her face. Only serenity and acceptance.
But the hands of death are not only yearning for her. They are also certain.
