I expect that’s what most crucifixions turned into after the first few minutes of the victim thrashing, screaming, and squirming. They would tire out pretty fast. They’ll live a good while (the human body is stubborn) hanging like that, so I imagine your typical roadside crucifixion featured the condemned hanging fairly still as they waited to die.

As some others have said, the aesthetics are important if your fetish began when you were a child seeing depictions of Jesus hung on the cross. The body was seldom depicted as that of a strong man. I think the artists emphasized the thin, weak look to feminize his look. This was done, I believe, not to create any homoerotic image (although I am sure that was the result for many gay men), but to emphasize the vulnerability and innocence of the victim. I suppose that as puberty hit and my heterosexual nature emerged I transferred the feelings I had to women. I was titillated by the front covers of the old pulp men's magazines with images such as Nazis whipping young, beautiful women. The fact that the Nazis actually did things like this added to the excitement even though I found the true stories repugnant and wanted every one of those bastards hunted down and killed.
So therein lies the conundrum that many of us have faced-- appalled by the actual use of torture and crucifixion, but still enthralled by the fantasy. I am not one of those who enjoys seeing all the rough stuff and sexual violation being done to the women. Perhaps because of my youthful experience with all those Rennaissance and Baroque works of art I am more pleased by seeing a young, innocent girl on the cross. I can think of her as a saint and martyr.
Blood also plays a role in my crux fantasies. I don't like it overdone with blood all over, though. Again, the aesthetics I developed require just a little blood at certain points, those being the hands and feet if they have been pierced by nails, the forehead if the woman has a crown of thorns, and the back and front ribs where the whip's tail wrapped around and left a bloody welt. In the photos of girls crucified in a European forest (Russia?) the victims generally have a clean and innocent appearance. You can see them suffer as time on the cross goes on. It would be nice to see a video of the entire experience. I have only seen a few where the girls were whipped a little before being tied to the cross. There are also a few, perhaps from a different source, with fake nails and blood that sometimes look a bit too fake, but still have a nice aesthetic with the red blood on the white skin.
It is also interesting how they are tied, with the hands firmly secured on the cross beam above and the feet placed flat against the beam with the feet inserted, toes down, into the loop of rope that has been tied around the beam. The pressure on the front of the feet must be painful when they try to move up to relieve the strain on their arms and shoulders. I would be tempted to place some small spike or rough area on the beam at that point so that the bottoms of the feet would rub against something painful as well.
Having said all that about my aesthetic fantasy, I take comfort morally in the idea that these women were all volunteers. Some may be masochists who enjoy this experience and some may do it for pay. Best of all would be if they are both drawn to it by their own erotic nature and get paid as well. I am also assuming that someone is looking after their safety to prevent any serious injuries and to treat them, if needed, after they come down from the cross.

Hufkens was a founder of this forum, though I would argue the old Crux group was more the precursor than the Crucified Women website, which came well after that was founded. An odd fellow, I wonder what he's up to now? He had a site before Crucified Women, as far as I remember, and it was there that I first saw his manips, before I ever did my own.
As for the Makar b&w, when I found these it was as if I had found the motherload, this was what I had been looking for, and his work has never been surpassed.
