Beginning of a New Story:
The arrest had been long awaited. The Capital City of Relin was on high alert ever since the Inchast Cove had declared war upon their nation for their differing beliefs. While the cove was small in numbers, they were cunning and brutal, sending spies into major cities and holds to destroy the nation's leadership from within. More recently, a young woman by the name of Haruno, had appeared within the capital and roused suspicions almost immediately upon her arrival but the guard could not find proof of her ties with the cove.
Surprisingly, it was a low bandit that had reported her to the guard, having come running and begging for his life. He spoke of how she seduced and slept with men around the town, rumors that she was bargaining her body for information and coin and murdering those that had nothing to give her. The bandit laughed and claimed it was all nonsense but accepted a night with her for the coin he had. Only after their gratification did he notice the witch's mark upon her shoulder and immediately took to running. He claimed she gave chase with a knife but couldn't match his speed, frantically begging the guard to arrest her. After Haruno's arrest, the bandit was granted amnesty for all his past crimes and paid in full while Haruno was taken before the judge trio of Relin.
There she stood, not knowing what punishment to expect with her identity being revealed. Her hands and ankle were chained together as she stood trial, two spearmen on both sides to stop her should she attempt to run. It was alread a cold morning but the presence of the cathedral and it's stands did nothing to ease her fear.
"So this is the witchling spy sent to invade our city?" - Judge Rolith laughed in mockery. "Here we are to judge you and what we get is a common prostitute having been sent here to lay with our lords and nobles!"
"Humanity's faith and righteousness if fickle but you prove that there are those even worse than the rabble on the streets."- Judge Telis spoke in dismay.
"But you will get no mercy from us! Regardless of your past or what your motives are, even aligning with the Inchast Cove is punishable by death!" - Judge Serin cried with vigorous anger.
"The mark has already been found on your body, you are indeed an advocate of the devil! I see no reason why we shouldn't burn her where she stands now!' - Serin continued.
"Indeed, it would be a waste of our time if our seal of approval wasn't necessary to sentence criminals to such punishments. We are responsible to make examples out people like you, after all." - Rolith mused.
"Then it is decided then, brother Rolith! She will be punished severely for her defilement of our city! For ever daring to stand here within the cathedral before us!" - Serin continued to rage on.
"We need not incur the wrath of our lords in their place, brother Serin. Let our worst punishment for her be one that serves to make an example instead of mutilating her body in blind rage." - Judge Telis called.
"There is nothing else to add here. Commence forth the sentence!" - Rolith announced.
"The Inchast Cove witch and spy, Haruno, is to be flogged, stripped to the bare skin, and crucified near the entrace of the city for all to see! The execution begins tomorrow morning!" - Rolith declared.
Haruno shuddered in her shackles, as though a deathly wind of ice had blown over her with that announcement.

After the trial, Haruno was escorted down to the prison cells where she would spend the night. The guards were warned against making any moves on her should she have and seducing spells at the ready. The walk was long and cold as she was trekked from the cathedral to inside the castle walls and down into their depths. Before she entered, the guards removed her sandals and top, making her walk barefoot across the cold stone floor.
"Move it!" shouted the guard escorting her. "I don't have the patience to be sitting down here with you all night in this damp place!"
Haruno was led inside one of the cells with the door closed shut. Her shackles were undone and she was allowed to lay down on the bed for the night. Where guards would usually jump the chance to harass female prisoners, today no one was present in the freezing night, let alone to mess with a witch. The average market thief, sometimes a broken and wounded assassin or the occasional female bandit all made easy pickings to satisfy the men in the castle, but a witch seducer was one woman that none of them would even want to approach. All the more ease for Haruno to be able to lay peacefully shuddering on her bed and reflect upon the oncoming day.
"You know? I almost pity you. For whatever reason, those hags thought to throw you under the wagon and into the depths of the capital." the guard spoke with chattering teeth. "I got know idea why they chose to pick a fight with us but if I gotta stay here half the night instead of drinking at the warm tavern up there, then I hope you get everything that's coming to you."

Hence the name of the thread. Sorry but I've been honest about how I plan to do these from the start and since I have figured out so much more about how to use charastudio, I do not want to go back to Mina unless I completely redo it.
It is nice, but you say it just changed by itself? Did you not request it? How weird!

Haruno had passed out froms tress during the night and was forcibly awoken early morning. She wasn't given much time to prepare herself for the torture she was about to endure but she marched swiftly along with her escort to the prison courtyard. A large wooden beam stood in its center with rigid cuffs at the top. Haruno barely had a chance to take in the scene before the guard removed her top, leaving her chest covered up by tight fitted rags, and pushed towards the beam.
"Get going, wretch! We've only got a day to hang your body at the city entrance!" he shoved her forward. This was a different guard from the one last night but their armor and stature made them look like living statues of each other, yet this new one had more personality to boot. "The trine of judges does not like anything to be late!"
Haruno was shackled by her wrists to the top of the beam, leaving the rest of her body to stretch awkwardly with limited space to move. Meanwhile, the guard brought his flogging tool of choice, a crude whip with sharp metal chains instead of rope. He had already begun raising it in preparation for the first few lashes.
"You will writhe like a dying worm! Enjoy it, witch!" he yelled boldly.

Haruno's body was pummeled repeatedly with each lash. The chains didn't just leave cuts but heavily bruised every part of her where they hit. Unsatisfied with the lashes to her back and shoulders, the guard undid Haruno's skirt and continued lashing across her bare rear end.
The guard lashed furiously but made no more comments as he whipped and bruised her body. While she couldn't look behind her to see his face, not that she could with his helmet on, Haruno sensed the guard was taking pleasure in the deed yet the whip did not give her a second to contemplate anything other than her own pain.
With every hit, she shrieked horridly as her body shook as though struck by lightning. There was no escaping now, she could only endure until the cruel punishment was over.
The guard lashed furiously but made no more comments as he whipped and bruised her body. While she couldn't look behind her to see his face, not that she could with his helmet on, Haruno sensed the guard was taking pleasure in the deed yet the whip did not give her a second to contemplate anything other than her own pain.

For a moment, the whipping stopped. Haruno was unshackled and turned around with her back to the beam and reshackled in a new position. She was now facing her tormentor, the guard standing proudly and looking over his work. Haruno sensed every bit of suffering the man was wanting to inflict on her and cried with whimpers breaking apart her breath.
The guard looked all over her, placing a hand on his hip and lowering the whip to relax his tight shoulder and arm. He had never gotten the chance to properly flog any prisoners before, in fact such punishments were rare for common criminals in the capital, but the sight of the witch in front of him made his blood boil. He couldn't really tell why. Perhaps it was just the adrenaline of leading a full execution against a real enemy of the kingdom.
"Here, we can both rest up a bit. May as well give you some moments of ease so you don't break down entirely trying to carry your cross. Think you're even up for that?" he mocked.
"....ggrrhh...." Haruno gurgled out blood in a silent response, her bruised lungs made her entire body feel heavy.
"Heh, that's what I thought." the guard continued.
"Among all the common thugs I've seen, never could I imagine that a beautiful she-devil such as yourself would end up getting the worst sentence we have to offer. I wonder, how does it feel having the weight of everyone's evil gaze upon your head?" his demeanor became a bit more serious. "I almost pity you yet the capital and its people come before my remorse for a filthy rat like you. If only things were different, isn't that what you think?"
"Well no use pondering about it now. We have a schedule to keep and I got more lashes in me. Ready yourself!" the guard sighed.
