As young leader of the resistance, she was arrested for speaking out against the clan leader. As morning comes, she gazes out at the scaffold, already completed for her upcoming punishment. She is sentenced to be whipped, branded, and pierced. The brazier is firing up. All of the torturer's instruments are laid out. She has prepared herself mentally and physically for this, and is ready. She will endure the torture with dignity, and will not cry out. In doing so, she will foil the plans of her torturers, who hope she breaks down and begs for forgiveness, betraying her cause; but instead will serve as a martyr, a fine example for her people to continue their struggle. Her only selfish wish is that after the ordeal, she will still be able to bear a child, and her tender breasts can suckle it.

They raped me. Him and his friends. Over and over again.
Now it’s almost daybreak and I am to be whipped. Why did I believe him in the first place. I was only a chambermaid. He said if I gave myself to him, he would get my parents and sisters out of debtors prison. After all, it was him who they owed the money to. He would just say that the magistrate was mistaken...the money they owed wasn’t due. What could I do. I had to help my parents, my poor little sisters. He kept having me come to his bed, night after night. I felt like a street whore. I kept asking when, he kept saying “soon” . Soon never came..He told me his friends were coming for a visit. That if I wanted to help my family, I needed to pleasure his friends. I screamed at him. I scratched his face. They called the magistrate.
I was taken to jail. There was a quick trial. I was accused of offering my body to my employer in exchange for release of my family. I had no lawyer. He said I tempted him with my naked body. The magistrate ordered me to strip. He said the court needed to “see” the evidence. I sobbed, I stripped, I knew I had no chance for justice.
Now I wait in my cell for my punishment. I was sentence to 30 lashes on my naked body in the courtyard of the jail. He and all his friends will be there. Oh, and there is one more thing. I am no longer a chambermaid.....I am now an indentured servant. He and his friends bought my indenture.

I thought the park was empty. I didn’t see anybody! I thought it would be fun to take a few crazy selfies. You know as a memory. I never saw any kids there. You said that they were how old? Oh, shit! What are kids that young doing with cellphones anyway. You have seen the pictures they took. You want to see my phone...my photos? Would you believe me if I said that wasn’t me in the pictures?
