And yes, that last one is even finer, the setting against the bright sky is so dramatic -
I get what tortured rest I can for my poor, scourge-striped body,
trying to let the pain of the nails just flow through me,
trying to focus my mind just on my breathing,
knowing this is going to last for hours, even days,
as I grow weaker, tormented by thirst, burning sun, biting insects...
