It is displayed in several sites but I wonder what is its origin. The picture seems real but the text below is in "arranged" modern French. It should be in medieval French or maybe in medieval Occitan.
or even Latin - but the whole picture is modern,
a very nice piece of calligraphy and illumination,
it's a shame all the resources of Google can't find the artist who deserves the credit! :)

Ah OK...
A detail : the text is fantasist but the military dresses ("uniforms" would be an anachronism) are exact.

or even Latin
The abandon de facto of Latin allowed Occitan to become official (with pro-French orthograph) also de facto during about 70 years (2nd part of 15th century, city of Toulouse/Tolosa for example). France replaced it by French by the Ordonnance of Villers-Cotterêts pretending to replace Latin which was already no longer used.

If you have insomnias...

Histoire d'O (History of O) : O's first whipping by an anonymous man.
Her lover is hidden in the crowd. He gives her to a "Master" for her "education"...
The history dates from the 50's, the scenario takes place in the 30's
Sorry the pictures are in alphabetic order
Part 1
About this French novel written by a woman (very cruel)

The cartoon is due to Lorraine Dufour (a woman too)
There was a movie in 1972, origin of creation of the X class. I saw it, i prefer the novel
Parts published here are in Spanish (in Spanish it's funnier !)

Native Americans and Giralda (in French)
"Na" Giralda (article propre) : title in ancient Occitan, not specially reserved to noble ladies but to a woman who has an "ostal" (house). Il could be a castle or only a farm, for example.
Still used in Catalan (in Spain) for older ladies
