it's a shame all the resources of Google can't find the artist who deserves the credit!
The abandon de facto of Latin allowed Occitan to become official (with pro-French orthograph) also de facto during about 70 years (2nd part of 15th century, city of Toulouse/Tolosa for example). France replaced it by French by the Ordonnance of Villers-Cotterêts pretending to replace Latin which was already no longer used.or even Latin
