A message from the Staff (Administrators and Moderators) of CruxForums:
We do our jobs here entirely voluntarily because we love the Forums,
we think it's a great site and we do our best to keep it that way.
But we are only human, we have Real Life to deal with -
busy with jobs, family life, sometimes unwell, all the ups and downs.
We try to keep up with all that's going on (even in a ‘quiet’ 24 hours,
that means scores of active threads, posts well into three figures).
Where there are issues, we don't just lay down the law,
deleting posts, issuing warnings, banning members,
we try to deal with problems constructively and helpfully,
and only resort to sanctions when a more friendly approach fails.
But if members want CF to go on being a friendly, lively and popular site,
we need your support and co-operation.
We welcome constructive criticism and helpful advice,
we pay attention to it and try to act on it as best we can.
Members are always welcome to communicate with any or all of us.
If you see something you don’t like, just click ‘Report’ and tell us why,
and if there’s some more general concern you want to raise,
do send a Private Message (in Conversations) to any one or more of us.
But posting public 'manifestos' or ‘tirades’ - even politely worded ones,
never mind abusive or sarcastic attacks - is not the way to voice your concerns.
That is simply stirring up trouble, it will certainly not bring any improvements.
Verbal attacks on Forum Staff, individually or collectively, on public threads
are a serious breach of our Rules, and will not be tolerated.
