Great Pics Found By Phlebas And Other

I can't explain all of it, but the gun/cross is a reference to the character Nicholas D Wolfwood from the anime series Trigun. He's a "preacher" (Japanese interpretations of Christianity can be pretty strange) who roams the wastelands of the planet Gunsmoke caring a giant cross that is actually a machine gun.

For those not familiar with anime, Trigun is one of the all-time greats. A truly underrated classic. I'd put it up there with the likes of Fullmetal Alchemist, Akira, Ghost in the Shell, etc

ok before I go let's sneak some more in. Someone posted the last of these pics recently and today I found the set. I love the setting, the crucified woman as backdrop for someone's photos, her poses emulated, her helplessness mocked

I conclude from this set that, if the dancing redhair on this pic expects a pay for her modeling, she better would look behind her!

btw it was Eul who posted the last of these pics the other day, on Odds and Ends

I wondered whether this series should appear here, or in torture, or in whipping, but I decided that the very cruxlike and cruciform poses at each end where justification for putting it here. Interesting subset of a longer story which I don't have.

The numbers seem to run in reverse.

I'd enjoy doing the exercise, but hate it when it comes to
'get into groups of 3 and discuss your experience'.
I don't think that happens after a real crucifixion! :p
I don't know... ask Jollyrei ;)

THEY MIGHT MENTION IT TO ME, BUT EULALIA IS CORRECT; THEY DON'T GENERALLY GET TO DO A "POST MORTEM" WITH EACH OTHER. IT'S NOT THE SORT OF THING YOU LEARN MUCH FROM FOR NEXT TIME (UNLESS YOU'RE BARB, OF COURSE).

But she doesn't learn from experience does she?
LEARN NOT TO DIE FROM EXPERIENCE? I DON'T THINK THAT ACTUALLY WORKS. PEOPLE ALWAYS DIE. EVEN IF YOU DIE AND COME BACK, YOU STILL END UP DYING AGAIN SOMETIME LATER. :p

THE ONLY THING YOU COULD POSSIBLY LEARN IS NOT GOING AROUND GETTING FLOGGED AND CRUCIFIED, AND IN BARB'S CASE, THE COMBINATION OF CONSCIENCE, DISSATISFACTION, AND AN INABILITY TO KEEP HER THOUGHTS TO HERSELF TEND TO MAKE THAT UNLIKELY.:doh::rolleyes:

Right, I'm back and posting, but I have a LOT of catching up to do too. I hope these are not repeats as I am slightly out of sync at the moment.

Glad you are back!:)
With some exciting pics!

Like the old mine site, where there was enough timber to put up crosses.

Or this one, worth a story.
When the emperor uncovered the conspiracy, he was very disappointed that he had been betrayed by these men who had once brought him to glory, and who had saved his life more than once. In exchange for submitting to public crucifixion, he proposed the conspirators to protect their families and their possessions. But when the empress learned that the conspirators had also planned to kill her, she insisted to exclude the conspirator's wives from the bargain, and to execute them together with their husbands.

Now kindly get me off of this thing!!!!!
We will get you off, but first we have to move the wagon out of the way a hundred of meters!:roflmao:
