Are you sure this isn't an early version of the game of darts?Execution, maybe at the beginning of the Middle Ages
A well-stocked slave market
I'd fit right in!A well-stocked slave market
to tease the stud
... though that this word is also used in English , in the two meanings ...gudgeon

I'm going to take a little rest and comm here it is very beautiful, I took out my fishing rods and I'm going to tease the stud (it's a French expression and I think the literal translation is not good),
thank you all, but for fans do not worry I will continue to publish work here

YES, it does ! "Taquiner le goujon" ... but it's an old expression and I'm not sure that young people knows it ...
Yes gudgeon is a fish - I think only anglers would know one, I admit I wouldn't,yes you're right, we find for stud fish in metal, jewelry, and studs not fish the correct word is certainly gudgeon
So you were not complimenting me about me being a stud...Yes gudgeon is a fish - I think only anglers would know one, I admit I wouldn't,
and goujons have come into English recipes and menus as a posh word for fish fingers.
But a 'stud' - as well as being a knob for holding things together -
is a word used in horse-breeding - it can be a breeding stallion (and so used of a very virile man!),
a team of horses brought together for breeding, or stables specialising in breeding (a 'stud farm').
So 'teasing the stud' suggests to me doing something rather naughty with a randy male horse!
