Nature created (basically) 2 sexes. What we call male (sperm donater) and female (egg donater). There are some creatures that can perform both functions.
The rest of it is stupidities created by humans to justify their personal sexual desires and proclivities.
Nature has no need of any sexual activity that doesn't propagate the species.

The mechanism is different : nobody 'decided' to build a mechanism to perpetuate the species (it's creationnism)
Sexuality is selected because without it the species (and other species which use that kind of mechanism) would disappear and sexuality too !

I have never reproduced and that is ok. Lesbian sex is not for procreation. It is strictly for pleasure. We are not thankfully wired the same .

From my own experience, I find women connect through an emotional bond of trust that sometimes leads to sex. Many of us have had negative experiences with men who could not or would not allow themselves to be emotional. That may be due to the way boys are raised and how society expects them to be. Or it may be hard wired in their brains from generations of having to be macho defenders of society
