A Paradoxical Anomaly Of Simplicity ?

Go to CruxDreams.com
No one ever sees you as you are

In the bathroom through that little window

Or standing in the bedroom with the blinds open ...

as you ...

dry your hair ...

But ... is it a curse that you want it ... so much?

Or just a forgotten dare ...

Where do these thoughts come from ...

Standing alone on the stairs?

A fresh abstraction from Siss.

This one makes me feel like a voyeur, and then like an exhibitionist, as I try to inhabit both the scene and her mind. She appears to be writing about how we are seen against how we may want to show ourselves.

Are we true to ourselves or do we prefer to fantasize an existence to which we would not ordinarily dare? Are we at our most vulnerable and authentic when seen in the privacy of the bath or boudoir, stripped of airs and all pretenses? And what does it matter anyway as we prepare to descend the spiral stairs of ours ordinary lives?

I know that I am overthinking here as I am so often all to prone to do.
Siss knows I do.

But the abstractions about which she writes on CF always provoke me so. She calls this piece "Simplicity?" But in fact, it is anything but.
