As a left-hander, I prefer the term 'sinister'. It keeps people guessing. ;)
In Scots ye can be a 'southie'.
But also carrie-fisted, ker-haundit, katie-handit, skerrie-handit...
and south of the Border, cack-handed, cuddy-whifter, dolly-pawed...
the English Dialect Survey in the 1950s found 88 different terms :p

Yes, and a lot of those are none too "appetising", or particularly complimentary. :p

A Doctor I know once told me that since the left side of the brain controls the right side of the body and vice versa it means that left handed people are the only people in their right mind. Needless to say the Doctor was a lefty.
