Barb, you should mirroring one of the components. A matter of light and shadow.

He means that because the light on the figure and on the cross are falling from different directions (and therefore casting shadows in opposite directions) either the figure or the cross should be flipped horizontally to achieve lighting consistency.

But if you do that, the figure and cross will lose their convincing perspective orientation, which works better as you have it currently.
