@Loxuru has them all I think. I only know these ones:Does anyone have a list of the keyboard codes for our smilies? I've already tried to add them as pictures, but then I can post one less picture in this thread, incidentally, the Peview botton that doesn't work is also annoying.
I have collected about 100 smiley codes on a sheet of paper here (so, not all) .Does anyone have a list of the keyboard codes for our smilies? Ugh.. who even uses paper any more??I have collected about 100 smiley codes on a sheet of paper
It’s written on the backside of a used envelope!Ugh.. who even uses paper any more??
That would be great!I have collected about 100 smiley codes on a sheet of paper here (so, not all) .
(With that sort of things, I keep myself busy) . :
I already thought of posting them??
This also affects other dynamic actionsthe Preview button no longer works (and hasn't for a couple of days).
Thanks for that! Makes perfect sense. This also affects other dynamic actions
when you use Search > By member there will no longer be an autosuggest,
when in the comment box you type "@" plus the beginning of a username it also doesn't fetch any suggestions.
Also you can't 'Toggle BB Code" anymore etc.
If you do all of these while inspecting the console (most browsers give you this if you hit F12 and pick the "console" tab) there's the explanation, it is basically the same issue as earlier - HTTPS and HTTP content getting mixed.
For instance typing the "@" and some letters triggers a query to http://www.cruxforums.com/xf/index.php?members/find&q=ABC&_xfRequestUri=...
and the problem is that the request is launched from a page with "https://" protocol but itself uses insecure "http://"
any modern browser will not permit this by default. This is so called "mixed content" which can cause unsafe things to be inserted into an originally secured page and that's why the browsers block it, of course for our benefit! - https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/Security/Mixed_content
So there is probably http still buried somewhere in some configuration.

Not come across that before. It seems like (yet) another issue arising from the variation between http and https addresses that's causing browsers to block some of our operations. Did you try using the 'back arrow' to see if your text was still showing? We staff can (sometimes!) retrieve earlier versions of posts that have been edited, deleted or otherwise changed, but you have to catch one of us and supply a link to the post that needs retrieving.I wrote a reply to a thread and clicked "Save Draft". When I tried to post it, I got "Security Error: reload page" so I reloaded and the reply I was writing disappeared. I could not find the option to "Load Daft" anywhere, so I had to write it out again.
Is this a glitch or is there an obvious "Load Draft" I have missed?
Yes, thanks Lox - we're aware of that, and have spent some time downsizing full-size uploads, e.g. from the Members' Birthdays thread where we used to post them regularly. But we're advised that they only add significantly to our usage costs now if members actually view them, so we hit them when we happen to find them, but don't spend long hours looking for them.Curiously, old pages of these threads (around p200- p300 and earlier, mainly from before 2017) regularly contain full scale pics. I don’t know whether these are externally hosted or not. Perhaps a hint to check it out for reducing the bandwith? Just a suggestion.
Don’t worry, @Loxuru kept his eyes shut, to save on usage costs!Yes, thanks Lox - we're aware of that, and have spent some time downsizing full-size uploads, e.g. from the Members' Birthdays thread where we used to post them regularly. The slaves in charge of sending the message will be stripped naked and flogged!Don't know if it's a glitch, but... when I tried changing my password (so I could use this site on a new computer) I entered my email and the verification, but I haven't received a message.
Certainly good practice - but does that mean I should expect it, or should I try again? The slaves in charge of sending the message will be stripped naked and flogged!
