This isn't part of the standard landing checklist? Spoilers armed, flaps 35 degrees, panties down... What do you mean that's not what "gear down" means. Looks like his "gear" is pretty up, actually. Sorry, this is the takeoff checklist.

It is simply the new procedure to distract the pilot, so he would by no means interefere with the fully automated landing system.
