Rome's Revenge

I was made aware of this story only a short while ago, and for once, I'm so grateful to be late to the party, so that I could read chapter after chapter, not stopping, feeling the intensity, the dread, the power of the words. Following the story in real time, imagine myself waiting for the next chapter to drop would have been an agony in itself.

The author wrote
I do tend to get absorbed in the details of how I'd be feeling, how I'd behave under such extreme circumstances,
and I just have to convey my utmost gratitude. This has been done so stunningly, so intense, that it made me feel the tortures and the emotions almost as much as the author hopefully did for herself. If I've not said it until now in clear words, I have to do it: Thank you very much for that gripping emotional story.
