The slave Eulalia had become quite famous and not just for her writings. Already renowned for her special coffee grid, there was an added mystic to the blend knowing she had survived a 24 hour sentence nailed crucified to a cross…
The problem was that the coffee shop was getting complaints that the quality of “Eulalia’s Premium Grind Coffee” was beginning to vary. The most vocal critic was a man named Tree.
He had argued with the slave Eulalia’s owner, Melissa, was being used by her slave.
Melissa would argue that she was beating Eulalia like a rented mule and Tree would argue that that was all Eulalia wanted. It finally came to a head when Tree threw down the bond to cover the cost of Mel’s slave.
“Look, Mel, the coffee is only as good as the slave grinder and if the slave is more interested in being beaten than making good coffee she has to be tried.”
“But what the hell am I going to do?” Melissa asked. “I’ve built a business around Eul’s blend!”
“Wasn’t Eul’s blend made under your tutelage?”
“Well, yes, but she is special. She grinds differently because she was crucified for 24 hours.”
“I don’t see a problem with that” Tree replied. “Pick your next best trained slave and I’ll crucify her.”
“Tree, that’s not right.”
“Who gives shit, Mel? I posted bond and Eul goes before Judge Admi.”
“But what am I to do about marketing “Eulalia’s Premium Grind Coffee” if I don’t have Eulalia?”
“They are slaves, Melissa! Like I said give me one and I’ll crucify her for twenty-four hours and then you can call her ‘Eul’” I said almost exasperated. “Damn, are you and Julie getting soft?”
“OK, that would work, but what am I to do while my new ‘Eul’ is recovering from being crucified. I can hear you bitching about the coffee already?”
“I’ve got a plan for that…”
It was Eulalia’s day for rest and relaxation when Melissa walked up to her. Eul offered herself submissively to her mistress but Melissa told her that it wasn’t necessary. At first Eul enjoyed her freedom to ravage her mistress…

…Then she asked “Why are you giving me such freedom, Mistress Melissa?”
“Tree has put bond down on you, Eulalia. You are at the mercy of Judge Admi’s court.”
“There is no mercy there, Mistress. Please kill me now.”
“You know I cannot, Eulalia. Just try to enjoy the day…”
