My favorite good-friday children book (I think it was from the 80ies, an incredibly violent crucifxion depiction, considering that this was a book for children). In case you wonder after a closer look, yes I modified it a bit because at this time I did like the Jesus figure having longer hair and I thought there was not enough blood at the pierced feet ;-)
Since more than 20 years this is still one of my favorites, the attention to details like the flogging scars, the sweat, the nail holes from earlier victims the cramped fingers and so on, is just remarkable. Angus
McBride (the artist) had great talent.
From this book is also a good flogging and and overview over Golgatha with the "thieves" in my collection. Please let me know if I shall post them, too.
(by the way: since all members from Germany here at the board seem actually "outing" themselves, I join you: I am from south germany, too ;-))

This has been one of my rare days off, and I decided to finish up on the latest installment of my "Deforestation wood for the Crosses, Part VI". Although this episode does not depict a crucifixion specifically it is the deployed execution method in this vaguely futuristic dystopian state. And stick around for future installments, most of these boys will go to the cross when their turn comes, when they've provided the information asked for or caught in their dastardly deeds. Beware though, this is not for the feint of heart. All other installments are in files I'eve put in this group or I can send by special request.
