Samara and Thanddar met in a tavern in Shadizar and realized they had something in common: both were thieves, they knew there was a palace in the desert that belonged to a wealthy merchant named Al-Hamud and that he had traveled and left his palace with few guards. then Samara and Thanddar were the palace at night, not had problems to pass the guards and entered the palace. was both gold and jewels that the pair of thieves could get rich overnight, but then happened, Samara dropped a gold statue on a ladder.
The statue was rolling down step by alerting the guards. they tried to flee but were caught and thrown in the dungeons., The next morning the guards appear and take the couple to the front of the palace, where two wooden crosses are on the ground, the guards remove the clothes of the robbers leaving them completely naked. The two are tied on the crosses, which are raised and driven into the ground, then the captain of the guard called Derya, stands in front of bound and hanging thieves on the crosses and says:

"Al-Hamud are traveling for business, we do not know when he will return, may be tomorrow, in 1 week or 1 month, but what we know is that until he comes back you guys were crucified until he returns and decide what to do with their miserable lives "

Samara and Thanddar pray to the gods that the Al-Hamud business is not dawdle
