Dummy here again. How do you clean out allerts or do the old ones fall off on their own?

Clearing Alerts

Just put the cursor on 'Alerts' without clicking, then you get a drop-down list which clears each time you visit the Forums.
If you click on 'Alerts', it brings up all your alerts, at least going back a long way (to the great rebuild?)
Also you can manage your Alerts preferences. Put the cursor over your name next to 'Alerts' on the bar, again without clicking;
when the drop-down menu appears, click 'Alert Preferences' and you'll get a menu to select what you want/ don't want.
