Phlebas the pic of the condemned flung over his crucifixioner's shoulder is one of my fav stills from the film. Such a stunning ass. Last view before he is forced to lower his anus down into it (in my imagination as I know in the film he doesn't sit on it, but we can dream). He has an amazing body for crucifixion. His ass in this pic is stunning. I have recreated this scene in myself so many times.

Jesus of Montreal is a good film, good one to settle down & watch tomorrow. But I still do not like the knees to the side position of the victim. Of course it solves a full frontal problem for a movie maker by keeping the nude male coyly modest. I reckon the reality would have been quite the opposite with the sadistic executioners splaying wide knees in the positioning of the feet to cause maximum exposure.

Anyone seen Risen? Or isn't it out yet?

I kind of like the condemned crucified with his (sexy) body sideways on the cross. Kind of erotic to have the genitals hidden but still suggestive. And the sideways twist of the crucified body looked good too. I loved how it left the crucified's ass on full display for any interested observers!!!! If I remember look closely and you will see the actor did actually get an erection in the scene. I remember also reading of the remains found of the crucified man from Giv'at ha-Mivtar in 1968 which workers found in an ossury box. The scientific study conducted afterwards suggested a crucifixion similar to that portrayed in the film Jesus of Montreal. I must keep an eye out for Risen. Haven't seen or even heard of it so thanks for the hint.

Presumably so. But I suppose it's a further humiliation to have your just-spiked body manhandled up onto your stype with you having no control of your basic movements of your body anymore. From the minute they strip him naked and fling him onto his back to spike him, his body as he knows it has no more functioning for him. He is now totally under their control and so they manipulate his body as they want so as to complete his crucifixion as they see fit.

good grief, never ever seen that before and I have watched it so man times too. wonderful sighting, clearly erect. he must have enjoyed himself being crucified naked by those clothed guards then. they must have touched it to get him that erect too. amazing
